Magnolia Down Under Challenge #10 and SC227 {Tilda Thanks}

Happy Thursday! I wasn't feeling a bit well this morning as I was feeling short of breath. This isn't actually new to me as this is one of the symptoms of the MVP that I have (Mitral Valve Prolapse) but everytime it happens, it just freaks me out! Thank God it didn't last long as I was all alone as the kids are in school and hubby's working.

I have just finished my card for the Magnolia Down Under Challenge #10. We have to make a Mother's Day card but since I don't have any mother-themed stamps, I opted to use THANKS to show gratitude to my mother. Well, my Mama passed away 9 years ago and everytime Mother's Day comes, I can't help but miss her and I still cry. She's my best friend and I'm so thankful that God gave me such a wonderful mother.

This card was patterned after SC227 over SCS. My image was a RAK from my online friend Deb (from US). I coloured Tilda with Prisma pencils and odourless solvent, cut her out and matted her onto a Basic Grey Urban Prairie dp. I did some sponging on top of her (for a sky effect) and some Old Olive at the bottom for some grass effect. I really like this Urban Prarie from Basic Grey..I actually just purchased it recently from an online store.
I stamped my sentiment onto a white cs (where I cut my Tilda from), sponged some Old Olive around it and matted it onto my Quill pink cs which I bought from Officeworks months ago. I finished my card up by putting 4 rhinestones at the corner of the sentiment.
Thank you for the visit and for your lovely comments.
God bless everyone and look after yourself especially with the "swine flu" going around.
Hugs,
