CC205 Just a Quick Post

Hi everyone! This is just a quick and short post as it's way past bed time. I already feel sooo sleepy especially that the weather here in Sydney atm is a bit cold with some showers.

Ok, let's move on to my latest card. This is for CC205 over SCS and that is to use Perfect Plum, Pink Piroutte (or Pretty in Pink) & Kiwi Kiss (or Old Olive). My SU! cs stock is really running low and upon seeing the Color Combo challenge for today, I was worried that I couldn't play as I know I ran out of Old Olive already. Well, I took out all my scraps and digged dipper onto my stash until I see this piece of Old Olive good enough to be used on a card. I was really careful while I'm using it as I don't have any spare just in case. So, I just embossed it in Swiss Dots, made some scores using my Scor Pal, stamped my sentiment on it and heat-embossed afterwards and adhered it to my Perfect Plum base. To finish it off, I die cut Daisy Heads flowers alternating Perfect Plum and Pretty in Pink for an effect.

Here it is:

Hope you like this card and thanks so much for visiting my blog.

Night everyone!! :)

SNOWMAN -Take TWO on SC205

Good Afternoon everyone! Yes, it's almost 1pm now here in Australia and I haven't eaten my lunch yet. lol! (but I definitely will after this post) I made another card for the SC205 sketch challenge. I'm enjoying the sketch that I wanna do more cards with it. Anyway, here's my other card...

I used Taken with Teal and Gable green this time. It surprised me to know how good these two colours look together. I did partial embossing here (well yeah, first time after awhile) and it's a success! ;-) I used the Snowflakes and Swiss dots embossing folder and scored some lines between the gaps. There was no stamping done here, just purely Cuttlebugging.

Here are the stuffs that I used for your reference:

SU! Whisper White, Gable Green, Taken with Teal
Cuttlebug Snowflakes & Swiss Dots embossing folder
Cuttlebug Snowman die
Scor-Pal, Icicles (stickles), white gel pen, rhinestones, pop dots

Oh, I'm starving now, gotta grab some lunch. See yah later.

Have a blessed day!

CC193 Sarah Kay in Black & White

hello everyone! hope you're having a lovely day wherever you are. today I'm going to share with you the card I came up with for the CC193 challenge over SCS. colour combos are Real Red, Kraft and Basic Black. i don't have basic black so I improvised with a black sheet of paper I found on my stash. my kraft cs wasn't from SU! as well but from ebay which I bought just 3 days ago (perfect timing for this challenge!). i also made some experiment with my new EK Success Intricate Iris corner punch and the outcome is the circular frame you see on my card below:

i will post a simple tutorial so that you will know how I arrived on that frame. i'm just compiling the photos as some of the shots were taken using my digicam but then it ran out of batt so I had to use my mobile cam. in other words, i used 2 cameras in just one tutorial! i made a frame on the kraft cs using my Scor Pal and then put 4 itty bitty Kaiser pearls (in black) in each corner. i left Sarah Kay black & white for a different look...(or was I just too lazy to colour her this time? lol!)

'til next post. have a BLESSED day!

A Quick Post and a Wedding Card

Hello! This is just a very short post as I need to prepare the kids for our dinner out tonight. A friend whom I've last seen about 10 yrs ago is here in Sydney atm. She just got married and they're having their honeymoon here in Australia. We used to work together, she was my crew and I was her manager. She was just a working student then but now she's a FedEx Supervisor and just got married!!! And since I wasn't able to send her a card (she got married 25 OCtober), I decided to whip a card for her and her hubby. This is just a very, very simple one as in no stamping done, only cuttlebugging and Scor Pal-ing ;) .

I used my Cuttlebug Swiss dots embossing folder to emboss the bottom part of my SU! Whisper White. I also used my Scor Pal to create lines around the image, sort of a frame. The stickers (which are very glittery) were from Big W at AU$1.97! The whole wedding sticker page consists of about well, more than 15 stickers and they're all in glitter! Isn't it a bargain again? I matted the Whisper White onto a silver coloured cardstock mat from DCWV metallic stack. And the silver ribbon (I just don't know how you call this thingy LOL!) is from my stash.

This is my very first wedding card actually. Thanks for looking and enjoy the rest of the day!

God bless us all.

My First Magnolia Image

Yes! This is my very first Tilda image. And she was given to me by my online buddy Sammi. Thanks heaps Sammi! I never really thought that I would enjoy colouring her and putting her on a card. Send me more of her please? LOL!

Have you noticed the bg (the one behind Tilda)? I used my Scor-Pal to make those scores ;)! I guess I will really make use of my new toy more often. And have you noticed as well that I used Prima flowers here? Hehehe....I don't have Primas before (but now I'm starting to hoard a bit of them) and I don't normally use flowers on my cards (you can check out my previous cards and you can definitely tell). Well it's a different story now, I will be using Primas more often especially that I was able to source out where to buy them a bit cheaper here in Australia. Talkin' about bargain!

So, what do you think about my first Magnolia card? I would love to hear from you my dear blog readers and fellow bloggers.

Until next post. :)
