Shabby Chic Lovely As A Tree

YES!!! I finally got hold of this lovely stamp set from Stampin' Up! - LOVELY AS A TREE. Wohooo!!!  I've been longing to have this stamp set for over a year now and much as I wanted to buy one for myself, I just couldn't convince myself to purchase as it's quite exxy for me. ;)  But God is really good, He made a way for me to be able to have it when someone I know made a craft clean-up sale and this set is included! I know and believe that this wasn't a chance or luck but God really made it happen.

And since I still have the "sahbby chic" hang-over from the last card that I made (CAS37 challenge), I then once again made another card with the same theme.  I did a lot of distressing here and limited my embellishment to just a vintage-looking ribbon which I think  I got from Bizzy Becs long ago.  The image was stamped with Versamagic Dew Drop "Wheat" and the lovely dsp is from K&Company Charlotte 12x12 pad.

Thanks for looking and may God bless you always!

GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!

This card is my take for three challenges. Yes! 3 challenges! And they're the ff:
SCS TLC263 - to make Vintage themed card
SCS FS161 - I know I'm days late, this one's in honour of VERA the featured stamper last week
SSCC29 - Stampin' Sisters In Christ, to make a card that shows or expresses joy based on
Isaiah 12:6

Glad I was able to finish a card before the kids get home from school. :) I did my own sentiment using JustRite Stampers Classic Harmony Circle Ensemble III and while making the whole card, I was singing ♫ God is good all the time ♪ ♫...." which is my expression of joy because God is really, really good ALL THE TIME! Amen?! I just hope that this card is vintage enough for the TLC challenge :). When it comes to vintage papers, you can never go wrong with K&Company. Most of their dps have the touch of Vintage and they really look gorgeous.

I stamped my sentiment with Versacolor Old Rose, cut with circle Nesties and matted onto Scalloped Circle Nesties. I did some distressing around the dp and around the circle as well. You may notice some snips on the ribbon, well I did it on purpose to add an aged look/effect.

Okay, time for a very late lunch. Thanks for the visit and don't forget to leave a comment or two.

God bless us all!

Vintage Christmas

Happy Tuesday everyone!!! Been MIA from the blogland for the past few days! I know, we've been kind of busy at home doing a lot of things as preparation for our holiday overseas come Dec 23! Wohoo! Can't wait to see my family back in the Philippines!! I'll give you more updates once in a while.

For the meantime, let me share with you this simple Vintage Christmas card that I've created 2days ago. No colouring done here. Just stamping, a bit of sponging and cutting with Spellbinders and Cuttlebug. :)

This is just a very quick post, sorry, I'll make it up to y'all next time.

God bless us all!

Vintage Birthday

Hi all! Sorry I wasn't able to come back yesterday to post this card that I promised you. Things just got busy and I didn't get the chance to sit and post. Anyway, here it is...a Vintage Birthday card which a friend of mine requested for her mum.

What can you say about the gorgeous dp?? Very gorgeous isn't it?!?? And yes, they're from K&Company Charlotte collection. It's very lovely as they look like fabric or a very expensive wallpaper, lol! And they're very vintage to look at!

I used 3 colours of cs here. Purely Pomegranate for the base, Rose Red for the Labels 4 frame and the one punched with Martha Stewart Doily Lace punch, and of course Whisper White for the sentiment panel. The Bible verse btw is from Our Daily Bread Designs Scripture Collection 1 which was stamped with Purely Pomegranate (loaded with Versamark first) then heat-embossed with clear ep.

I once again did some faux stiching here after edge distressing and inking to make it look more vintage. Flowers are from Prima which I also sponged with Versafine Vintage Sepia.

This lovely K&Company paper was purchased from Windsor Cottage Botanicals and they have an ongoing 25% off on designer papers 'til the end of this month. There are lots of good finds there so visit it when you get the chance.

Thanks for the visit until next post.

Vintage Cards

Hi everyone! I know I haven't been posting lately, forgive me but I was just really busy here around the house. I've done some cards but it's only now that I got the chance to upload them. These cards were vintage inspired. Well, I once again joined this online shop card competition (remember I won 2nd the last time?) and the theme was "vintage" or to create a card using techniques such as aging, distressing...anything vintage-related. So here are the 2 cards that I tried to have a vintage feel (somehow LOL!)

Below is another shot of the first card for you to see that part of the image was popped-up.

And the 2nd card is an Asian influence card using the stamp set of the same name (Asian Influences by Inkadinkado). This stamp set is part of my 2nd-placed prize. :)

I will be posting again later once I finished some chores that need to be done.

Happy stamping and thanks for looking!
