SC278 Take Time to Laugh

Hi everyone! It's Friday once again and the last day of April! Wow!! It's actually getting colder and colder here each day. I can sense that Winter is coming soon. :)

My card for today is actually my card for last Wednesday's sketch challenge over SCS.  I made it very simple, not matting the dp and just matted the sentiment panel.  The sentiment btw, is from Darkroom Door Melody set.  I actually wanted to go monochromatic but I ended up using violet to give the sentiment a "pop".

Thanks for looking and I'll see you on my next post.

God bless!

CC268 & FS168 Combined Challenge Card

Good morning everyone!  Today's card is a combined challenged card that I made for CC268 (to use Ballet Blue, Barely Banana, Old Olive and a choice of a neutral colour) and FS168 in honour of the Featured Stamper this week -Gloria (aka GloriousGreetings on SCS).  I kept the sketch (of Gloria's card) and changed most of the details to complement the colour combo challenge. The sentiment is from Jemac Stamps, stamped with Choc Chic (my neutral) then embossed with the same embossing folder that I used with my punched Cosmos flowers.  The dp is from Basic Grey Lily Kate and I was so glad that it has the colours of the combo challenge for this week.

I sprayed Glimmer Mist Pearl on the sentiment panel though you can't see it pretty well on this photo.

Thanks for visiting and may God bless you always.

Hugs,

Jhet

CAS64 Jen's Birthday!

Hello everyone!  My card for today is my entry for this week's CAS challenge (CAS64) over SCS.  It was Jen's (aka Ms Boo) birthday last 25th April so this card was in honour of her special day. She also requested to use the orange colour since it's one of her favourites.

Here's my card:

I used Roxy from InStyle stamps' Retro range since I believe that orange is one of  the retro colours so I guess the colour matches the image. :) She was coloured with Copics and I made her top and earrings sparkle with Martha Stewart Crystal Fine glitter.I finished off my card with orange satin bow made by Bow Easy adorned with a brown button. Sentiment is from Inkadinkado (I think).

Here's Roxy's close-up shot:

Thanks for the visit and have a good night! God bless!

CREATE A SCENE by MASKING

Happy Friday everyone! Wow! It's Friday once again and I can say time really flies so fast nowadays!!  I want to share with you today the card that I made for 2 challenges:

and I bet like me, you would say the challenge go perfectly together!! Masking is surely a part of creating a scene that's why I combined these two challenges! YAY! I stamped Tilda then masked her so I can stamp the fence (which is btw, from Sugar Nellie). I used my Stamp a Majig to stamp the fence. I then masked the fence then stamped the flower background. As you can see, I stamped the stems again so as to show tall-stemmed flowers. :)  The stems in between the fence was done manually with Copic Multiliner.  Everything was coloured with Copics and other shading were achieved using Prismacolor pencils with odourless solvent.
Sky was created by sponging with torn paper as a guide.  The sun was done with the same technique.

Here's a closer shot:

I embellished my card with a layer of flowers and a button and a bit of yellow and purple Stickles on the stamped flowers.

Here's a close-up shot for you to see the sparkle in the flowers:

I know I'm still mastering how to colour Tilda with Copics so kindly excuse my colouring but I'm happy as somehow I'm kind of improving (as my hubby said) LOL!!

Thanks so much for the visit and I would love to hear your comments or suggestions.

God bless us all!

CAS63 Cosmos Flowers

Happy Monday! I haven't posted anything the past few days as I was a bit unwell due to cough and colds. Tomorrow my kids are going back to school after their almost 3wks Autumn break. So that means, more stamping time for me. LOL!

Here's a Clean and Simple card that I made for the CAS63 challenge this week over SCS.  It's based on a card by Alanna. I used papers from my scraps and the only stamping done here is the sentiment. :)  The flowers were punched using my Martha Stewart Cosmos punch adorned with dew drops.

Thanks for looking! God bless you all!
