Wedding in Pink

Happy Tuesday fellow bloggers, stampers and cardmakers!  We're having a gloomy, cold and rainy weather here in Sydney and my bed has been calling me to just go under my comforter and stay warm but I've got lots of chores waiting for me to do. LOL! And of course, I need to post so I can share with you the card I made last night. :)

This was a request from a neighbour/friend who will attend a wedding in 2 weeks time. She sent me an SMS last Sunday night and gave me the motif so I decided to sit and stamp last night -- hence the finish product!

This is also my take for the IC286 challenge over SCS and the swirls on my card was inspired by this Parisian Swirl Pink Lunch Napkins.  I just used a dark green for the fern leaves to give the card a bit of a pop.  The names were stamped using Justrite Stampers with a little from my stamp-a majig for the symbol "&". I sprayed Glimmer Mist Pearl on all the white panels that you can see on the card and it looks so elegant IRL. :)

Thanks so much for the visit and hope to see you again on my next post!

God bless!

Spring Couple Easel Card

Happy Thursday everyone! Just want to share with you a card that I made weeks ago for a church friend.  The image is called Spring Couple from CC Designs which I got fr Bizzy Becs. :)  It was coloured with Copic markers and paper-pieced as well using Basic Grey dp.

The person who ordered this card and the recipient are now both enjoying the summer season in the Philippines so we can also call this couple - Summer Couple. LOL!!

This is my entry for last weeks F4A65 challenge over SCS in which the challenge is about "Opposites" (pertaining to the colour wheel).  I think that this one somehow fits into the challenge as I used opposite colours (purple or plum/yellow green).

Thanks for the visit and hope y'all have a blessed day!

Wedding

Happy Wednesday everyone and Happy Mother's Day to all mothers in the world!! Yes, I'm back to my regular postings (hopefully) and sorry for being detached from the blogland for more than 2 months now. A lot of things had happened but nothing to worry about. :)  Things just really got so busy and I even went on a holiday in the Philippines for 18days to attend my father's 70th birthday last April 11.  It was a surprise for him and it really was a success!! :) And of course, precious were the moments that I spent with my family and friends as well.  I went alone as it was just a very short holiday. Hubby had his leave from work and he looked after the boys and our dwelling while I was away. Yes! He managed to take care of the boys and house chores and everything (well, almost everything, LOL!) was in order when I got back!! Wow! I really thank God for blessing me with such a wonderful and ever-supportive hubby! ♥

Okay, on to the card.  I actually made this few days before my holiday.  A church-friend will attend a wedding (during that time) and she wanted a purple card for that. I combined it with black (and white) to make it look elegant.

And here's a close-up shot of the stamped couple wherein I used my Martha Stewart Crystal Fine Glitter for the bride's gown.

I will upload other cards that I made prior to my holiday but for now, I hope you'll like what I've shared. :)

Have a blessed day and to those who are from Australia (where I live); keep yourself warm as this year's Autumn seems to be a very early Winter for us!!

Thanks for the visit!

GOD IS MY SALVATION

Happy Friday everyone!  The card that I'm sharing with you today is my take on ODBDSLC50 challenge. It's actually a sketch challenge set by ODBD April Guest Designer - Lori Ulrich.

I just made this one very simple as I thought I still have enough time but found out that I've got 3hrs left before the linky closes. Talk about time pressure! LOL!! So, here's my card using a stamp from ODBD Scipture Collection.  This is also my take for this week's Ways to Use it challenge over SCS and the theme is "Seeing Dots" hence the dots on my dp and the embossed Swiss Dots. ;) This card is also for SSCC78 challenge and that is to use no less than 3 buttons on your card or project (and I used the buttons as my flower centers).

Thanks for the visit!

Have a blessed day!

SCRIPTURE FRIDGE MAGNETS

Happy Tuesday everyone! Hope you're all having a lovely day. Just want to share with you my projects that I created last Sunday morning. I was into organising my Nestabilities and I have cut some A4 size magnets to suit my Nesties needs. I ended up with different sizes of cut magnets that's why I thought, why not make them into fridge magnets?? Bright idea! Now, here are the finished products. All bible verses were from ODBD Scripture Collection.

Thanks for looking and God bless!

YOU'RE IN MY PRAYERS

Happy Thursday everyone! Praise God for another lovely day that He has blessed us with.  We're having another lovely day here today - sunny but not warm. I was able to do 2 loads of laundry and planning to have another one in a little while. :)

I've made this card for the SSCC#77 Challenge and SC321 Sketch Challenge over SCS.  I started stamping the images last night, chose my dp to use and did the dry embossing on the top part of the card but just decided to put it all together the next day (which is today) after I'm done with my chores.

The SSCC#77 challenge calls for using "green" on your card or project.  The inspiration was taken from Exodus 8:9-11 wherein God sent a plague of frogs to Egypt so that the Pharaoh will let go of the people of Israel.  Peggysue Turner (DT member of Stampin' Sisters in Christ) made a wonderful sharing about this verse.

So, without any further chatthing, here's my take on the challenge:

My stamp image is basically one of my "first" stamps since I started with my cardmaking hobby.  It's also one of those so-neglected stamps that's just gathering dusts inside my cubby box. But it's inked today! And probably will be inking it more in the future. (I hope, lol!).  I used SU! Old Olive for my image and for the sentiment (Stampendous), I used Memento Rhubarb Stalk.  The white panel was embossed with Cuttlebug Stylized Flower and coloured with green decorative chalk. The images were cut with Nestabilities Square and matted onto a Rose Red cs cut with Cuttlebug Vintage corner die (another neglected stuff of mine).  I used another colour apart from white and green to give the card some pop. ;)

Thanks so much for looking and can you please keep the people of New Zealand in your prayers as they tragically experienced a 6.3 magnitude earthquake recently. There were many lives and homes lost and they're still trying to find survivors from this natural disaster.  Say a prayer for them during your quite time with the Lord, will you?

Thanks once again and I'll see you on my next post.

God bless.

SWEET AS A CUPCAKE

Good evening everyone! (it's already night here on my part of the world).  Today's card is for the Featured Stamper (FS211) this week over SCS and she's no other than StampGroover (aka Cookie). Her cards are all fab and mostly Clean and Simple ones.  Anyways, I tried my best to CASE one of her cards and I CASE'd her Sweet As Pie card.

I changed the colours, dp, placement of ribbon and image but used the same lay-out (almost).  The Magnolia image is one of the RAK images that I received months ago. I coloured Tilda with Copics and made the colours from the dp my inspiration in colouring her. The oval panel was cut with Oval Nestabilities and embossed using Cuttlebug Birthday embossing folder. The Regal Rose mat was also cut with a bigger size Oval Nestabilities then cut with pinking scissors for a different border. I realized I have more than 10 different decorative scissors and decided to start using them again on my projects.

The sprinkled Martha Stewart Crystal Fine glitter on top of her cupcake for added effect.  Here's a closer shot of the card:

Thank you for looking and I'll see you again on my next post.

Have a blessed day!! God loves you!
