EMBOSSED CARDS THROUGH FISKARS TEXTURE PLATES AND CUTTLEBUG...
As promised, here are the cardstocks that were embossed using the Fiskars texture plates through the Cuttlebug..

CUTTLEBUG and the Fiskars texture plates
Finally, after (just a few) trials, I already found the right combination (as I've said, right combination for me...which can work for you, too) for the fiskars texture plates to be used with the Cuttlebug! Thanks to my DH who, in most part, did the trial and error thingy.
from bottom to top:
Cuttlebug Plate A
Fiskars texture plate (in this case I used the "raindrops" texture as a sample)
Cardstock (the green one here)
Silicone bake pie pan (the blue one here, which I cut to the same size of the plates)
Pieces of thin paper (in my case I used something similar to bond paper, and I have 3pcs here, cut into size of the plates)
Cardstock shim (2pcs)
Cuttlebug plate B
this sandwich should go through the Cuttlebug. If you want a deeper impression, you can always add bond paper or something similar to its thickness (or should I say thinness), but this one should be able to give you a deep impression enough to satisfy your liking somehow. As I have said, you and I can never get the deep impression that the Cuttlebug embossing folders give for it has the negative and positive side.
Here's the silicone bake pie pan that I bought from the Reject Shop which only cost me $3 (it's on special, actually). I just cut it to the same width and length of the plates.
Will post the embossed cardstocks later...have to pick up DS2 from Childcare. See yah later!

Mother's Day is just 2 weeks away and I'm now preparing for this event by making handmade cards for my "mum" friends. I have actually done 7 cards and I will post them here once finishing touches are done. I'm really enjoying using my Fiskars Mini Shapeboss 'coz they make the project look cute and elegant. I have to look for some pretty embossing stencils to be used for this. But I'm more excited to my hubby's Mother's Day gift for me hmmmm... =) (yep, it's scrapbooking-related) But I'm still yet to find out...hehehe!
layout for my darling husband
hello! I've been off my blog for quite sometime now and haven't done any layout for about a week (I think). now, I'm posting with a layout which I was able to finish in an hour yesterday. this is of course, for my darling husband (ILOVEYOU MAHAL!). here, I used vellum for the first time (aside from vellum words) and was glad to see that it looked good. I have lots of patterned vellum just sitting in my cupboard so I thought, why not give it a try? this gives me an idea to make use of my vellum for my future projects =) here's my latest layout for you to see..

new layouts
hi everyone! it's been awhile since I last posted here and yeah, it's been awhile as well since I last made a scrapbook layout. here it is....I was able to make 2 layouts in...2days? yeah, yesterday and today. come have a look...
I made this layout yesterday and it's a school theme for my DS Jared. This is just a simple layout and I made use of the 3D stickers that I bought the other day which complement the photos.
I was also able to make a birthday card for my niece, Frances. I used a Kaiser blank card and patterned papers from my scraps. Flowers are from Bella! and the letter F was written using Kindy Glitz.
And here's what I've finished just few minutes ago. Shown in the photo is my DS2 Jhetro who loves waving the Aussie flag everytime he gets hold of it. Australia --- the place to be!
That's all for now. Gotta hit the bed...I only have few hours of sleep left. Til next blog ....God bless us all!
