BIC Mark-it Markers

Here are the markers that I'm currently using aside from Copic markers. I told you on my previous post that I will be asking my husband to accompany me to buy myself another set of this Bic Mark-It markers but then...my darling hubby inititated and bought the "Color Collection" for me (isn't he sweet?) So, here are my markers, the left set is the "Paradise Pastels" which is my first set and the new one is the one on the left, which is the "Color Collection". Heard Bic has 36 markers so I'll be watching out for the rest of the sets. :)

Will use them in a little while and post some pics here. For the meantime, dinner is already waiting. See you later!

Sisterhood of the Blogging Stampers - Group #22

Hi there! My real name is Jessica but you can call me Jhet for short. I'm married to a man who is an answered prayer and have 2 smart boys (who are sometimes equivalent to 6 LOL!). We are from Sydney, Australia but originally came from Philippines. We are a Christian family and we actively serve our local church which is located in Auburn. I'm a stay-at-home mum and started scrapbooking when hubby and I had our Christian Wedding ceremony. Most of our wedding stuffs were made by me (I like DIY stuffs!), from the invites to the bonbons. My interest was diverted to cardmaking when I bought a Cuttlebug and got encouraged with stamping as well upon seeing those gorgeous cards on SCS.

I'm glad to be part of the SBS 22 and I'm looking forward to sharing ideas and friendship with you all.

God bless everyone!

"You're In My Prayers"

Hello once again! I have another card to share with you before we call it a day...(actually, it's almost 1am now). I tried my best to finish this cute card so that I can upload it here straight away.

Got this image from the internet (can't remember where). This has been on my folder for quite awhile now and so when I saw it this afternoon, I told myself that I'll make a card today for this image to be used. I'm starting to have the feel of colouring using markers...and I didn't actually use any Copic markers here...I used my new BIC Mark-It instead. Yes, they're also fun to use and they're nice as well. Got this yesterday from Officeworks while we were scouting for a new desktop computer. I got the pastel set and I believe there are other sets available because all in all, there are 36 colours in BIC Mark-It markers range. I will definitely buy the other sets (in fact, after hubby's work tomorrow, I will ask him to accompany me there LOL!)

Back to the card, here's a closer look at this very gorgeous girl. I tried to catch the glittery part on my camera, and I successfully did --this time. :)

I used my Copic Spica glitter pen (clear) on her teddy bear and on the green ribbon tied on her hair. (Did I say I didn't use any Copic here?) I'm a bit of "glitter lover" and besides, glitter or the likes add a bit of life to the image. Don't you think so?

That's all for today folks. I'd better sleep now, been sleeping late these past few days...definitely not good for my health (and yours, too!)

God bless everyone and let's keep praying for each other.

hugs,

jhet

ETA -- the grossgrain ribbon that I used is also purple (to complement with the teddy bear). the true colour just didn't show on the photo.

Sarah Kay card

Hello fellow bloggers and readers! Just want to share with you a card with a Sarah Kay image. I don't have any stamp of her but was able to get an image over the net. I printed it onto my Whisper White cardstock and coloured her with my Copics, Bic Mark-It (new pastel colours) and watercolour pencils. She's so gorgeous!!! I enjoyed colouring her. Have to get more images of her soon. LOL!

Here she is...

Isn't she gorgeous? It's really fun to colour her.
Thanks for looking!

My COPIC markers and NEW CARDS

Hello friends and blog readers! Hope everything's doing well with you. :) I've made a couple of cards to share with you today. Two of these cards were my entry on a competition held by bizzybecs and the other one is a birthday card which I gave to a young boy who celebrated his birthday yesterday. But before that, I'd like you to see my first Copic Markers...(as promised on my last post)

I got 3 Copic Original Markers, Copic Spica glitter pen (clear) and 3 Copic Ciao. I think I'll have Copic Ciao more than the original markers due to its round shape. Aside from that, they are more economical and cheaper than the original Copic markers. Plus the Ciao has a brush tip on the other end making it easier for me to colour an image.

Below are the two cards that I entered for the competition:

The only mechanic was to use the colours brown, green and blue. You can use them on their own (different shades), two colours combined or the the three colours altogether. The stamps that I used were all from Stampendous. This is the very first competition that I joined, though I didn't win this one, at least I was able to experience how it is to join such competition. :)

And this is the birthday card specially made for a young Ben 10 fan..

Image is computer-generated (as I don't have any Ben 10 stamp, and I'm not sure if there's Ben 10 stamps already in the market LOL!). This is the first time I used my Copic Marker (on Ben 10's hair only)...the rest were all Sugarloaf markers and watercolour pencils, and ink as well. I used my Copic Spica on his watch and on the sentiments as well.

This is all for now and hope you'll keep visiting my blog for updates.

God bless us all! :)

birthday card and my new Copic Spica glitter pen

I have another birthday card to share with you and I made this for one of my closest friends back in the Philippines. She just gave birth to another baby boy and I just included my congratulations in this card.

yes! I already got my first Copic Markers! yay!! got 3 of them...I'll post their colours next time and upload pics of them as well. I also got a Copic Spica glitter pen (the clear one). I actually used Copic Spica in my cupcake's frosting (hope you can see it in this picture)...I was trying to capture the glitter but I just couldn't :( For the red cherry on top, I used my Kindyglitz red to give it more life.

and btw, I already know how to tie knots on cards...so, my future cards will have more ribbons on it. :)

have a blessed day and take care!

Hi everyone! Hope you're all doing fine upon reading this. Haven't posted for awhile as my DS2 got sick with a fever and colds. It's very cold and windy here in Sydney at the moment. Anyway, just kinda excited to share with you (and show you) my new stuffs!!!! At last, after 2 weeks, I finally received my 5 Stampendous stamp sets!!! Wohooo!!! I ordered them from Ebay US and these sets are:

They're very gorgeous and they really give a very good impression. :) My "other" stuffs are the Corner Rounder and the Concave paper shaper from EK Success. Been searching around for these paper shapers and I'm glad I was able to find them with very affordable prices!

Here are my stuffs:
