PAPER PIECING

Hello fellow bloggers and readers! I hope you're doing all very upon reading this post. I was able to finish 2 cards tonight. I actually finished them more than half an hour ago but I decided to post them and share them with you now (eventhough it's already late) 'coz I'm soooooooo excited about this. This is the very first card where I used "paper piecing" technique..and YAY! I did it! And I'm so proud of what I've done. :) I thank God for giving me the ability to do this technique.

I made this card for a friend who will celebrate his birthday tomorrow, (rather today! LOL!), it's already Aug 8. He loves playing golf but I don't have any golf stamps for that matter. So, I just searched over the net and found this cute golf player HERE. My colours and markers are very limited so I decided to paper piece his clothes and just coloured the rest of his image....

Here he is....

What do you think? Isn't he an adorable golfer? Tee hee! I'll just post the recipe for this card later today ' coz I wanna share the other card with you as well. But of course, before I forget, I also wanna thank my darling husband for giving me his endless support and input from my choice of papers to the colours to be used. I love you Mahal! (Mahal is a Filipino/Tagalog word for LOVE) :)

Anyway, here's the other card....

This one is for the birthday of my friend's daughter, Chloe. She'll be 4 this 13 August and found this cute image that would suit her personality (cute and bubbly). Found this one on this site. Again, I'll just share the recipe tomorrow as my feet are already dragging me to our bed.

May God bless all of you and remember: What is impossible to man, is possible with God.

To God be all the glory and praises!

Hugs to all!!

Clearly Christian stamps and....

Happy Wednesday everyone! (15mins more and it's Happy Thursday already). Haven't updated my blog for quite awhile. I got sick (caught this so-called GI flu) and so were the kids. But thank God, we're all doing ok now, apart from the cough that my 2 sons have atm.

Got 2 cards here to share. For the first card, I used my new Clearly Christian stamp (tag) by ClearDollarStamps which I received along with Charlie (the horse). This is just a simple card but so meaningful because of the stamp sentiments used which says

"Always give thanks to God the Father for everything." -Ephesians 5:20

Sorry, the picture taken was a bit wonky ;)

Materials: Bazzill cs, Dena Designs paper, Prima flowers, brads, Nestabilities Circle and Petite Scallop circle, Versa Ink cube

Stamp: Clearly Christian by CD stamps

The 2nd card is actually a computer-generated image (got you there!) I just found it cute and easy to colour with so I printed it on my SU! Whisper white cs and coloured it. Credit for the image can be found here.

I put a bit of shading on her arms/elbow to show that she's already been playing (and got all those dirt from that).

Materials: DCWVglitter cs, SU! Whisper white & Pumpkin Pie cs, watercolour pencils, Sugarloaf markers and computer-generated image

I bet I'll be making more of this C-G image 'coz as I've said, they're easier and fun to colour with...and you can get heaps of them from the net (just don't forget to link back to where it came from). But of course, I'll still be stamping and cuttlebugging. Oh btw, have you already heard that...
Cuttlebug's ON SALE at Lincraft? It's $89 now..and I saw it with my 2 eyes this afternoon when we went to Roselands. It's the lowest I've ever seen 'coz I got mine at $99 last Mother's Day. So, to anyone who's waiting for this, well this is your chance....grab a bargain!

As I've mentioned earlier, I'll still be stamping, of course. In fact, I'm still waiting for my new stamps to arrive from US and from within the country as well. So keep an eye on my blog for updates.

Gotta go now. Have to sleep..my body needs it. Hope you'll have a good night sleep. Don't forget to say a prayer before retiring tonight.

God bless us all!
