15-MINUTE CARD

Hi all! I just want to share with you a card that I made for a friend. She's the very first one who bought a card from me and she's bought quite a few. And to show how thankful I am for her support (and for believing in me, lol) I made a card of thanks for her. This only took me 15 mins to finish. Did I tell you that I already have a rubber brayer? I bought it a couple of weeks ago as I wanted to venture into the brayering technique but still couldn't get the chance to sit and try it. So, I used the brayer for inking the negative side of the Cuttlebug folder and ran my SU! Pale Plum onto the bug. And here's the outcome:

I used Summer Sun ink for this and I think it somehow turned okay. I die-cut a scalloped oval to mat my oval Pale Plum where I stamped my sentiment (fr Stampendous). Easy peasy! And yes, only 15 minutes to finish. :)

Have to hit the bed now. Our family and the members of the church where we regularly attend will have a Family Day/Picnic tomorrow at Kangaroo Valley. I haven't been there but they said it's a very nice place. So, tomorrow...I'm off to relax with nature away from my stamping stuffs! :)

Have a blessed day!

Three Challenges...

..in ONE card! Yay!

Hello everyone! Hope all is well with wherever you are by the grace of our ever-loving God. I was able to participate in 3 challenges over SCS yesterday. These are: CC210 (colours are Kraft, Summer Sun, Riding Hood Red (or Real Red)). Black can also be used but it's optional. I waited 'til yesterday for the SC210 (sketch challenge) so I can hit 2 birds with just one stone. :) Fortunately, my card also qualifies for the Bible Verse Challenge09 (BVC09) also over SCS that's why I was able to hit 3!!!

And here's my card:

My sentiment, which is a Bible verse taken from Proverbs 3:5-6 was computer-generated. I went over the letter "T" with my Versamark pen and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder. Don't you like the effect?? :) Initially, instead of this bible verse, I was about to put an image which I already coloured but it got me think twice. With these kind of embossed backgrounds (I used cuttlebug border embossing folders and the Floral Fantasy), I don't think that image would fit in. All this card needs is just a sentiment and that's it. And what could be more fitting than putting a Bible verse that will bring encouragement?
For my base, I used Kraft (from ebay), then I matted my embossed Summer Sun onto Basic Black. I die cut flowers using my Spellbinders Daisy Heads for an accent and inked up the edges of the sentiment with Summer Sun. I really like how this one turned out.
How about you?
Thanks for visiting! May God bless us all.

TIE A YELLOW RIBBON {Magnolia Down Under Challenge #3}

Hello once again! This is really a very, very early post (at 3 am!)..well, actually I'm about to sleep but decided to make a short post on my Magnolia Down Under Challenge card. I missed challenge #2 so I made it a point not to miss this one. ;)

The mechanics for Magnolia Down Under Challenge#3 challenge are as follows:

- the card must have a yellow ribbon
- image must be Tilda
- the card must have a flower for embellishment

The Tilda image I used here is one of the RAKs that I received from Debbie, an online buddy from US. Honestly, I only have one Tilda stamp and the rest of my Tilda images were all stamped by my friends. I'm so thankful for them for I'm able to use Magnolia images eventhough I don't have the actual stamps.

Just a simple lay-out with subtle colours. My dp is from DCWV Nana's Nursery pad. I coloured Tilda with my Prismacolor pencils, cut out and adhered it to the SU! Pale Plum cs using my Quickie glue pen.

I never really thought that lilac and green would look good together! I just experimented on these colours and I'm glad they blend well together.

Have to sleep now guys. Thanks so much for visiting.

Keep the faith and God bless!

Hi! It's Me -- YUKI!

Hi all! As promised, I'm now posting here the card that I've finished after my CAS card. Here, I'm using YUKI from InStyle Stamps. She belongs to the Anime line of ISS and for me, she's the most gorgeous of them all. ;)

This is my first time to colour an anime image and I'm glad that I was able to do it after spending heaps of minutes thinking what colour to use for her eyes. So, I decided to go Aqua (Copic Ciao) for her eyes and the rest is pretty simple.

You can't tell but I used my Copic Spica glitter pen (clear) on her eyelashes to give it some sparkle! As for her hair, after colouring, I went over it again using Colorless Blender pen to give it some highlights. Here's a closer shot:

I used my DCWV Matchmaker cs for the base and for matting the image and the mustard-coloured paper is from We R Memory Keepers. The polka dots paper is from Basic Grey Two Scoops which was die-cut using my Octagon shapes by Spellbinders. I stamped my sentiment (Studio G) onto Whisper White and used my Cuttlebug Tag dies to make the tag and inked the edges with Versacolor Cocoa. The ribbon was from..ahhh...I forgot! Sorry but it has been with me for ages but definitely I bought it here in Australia. lol!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog again and here's hoping to see you again on my next post.

God bless!

CAS06 Thank You

Good Morning! Today is CAS (Clean and Simple) cards day over SCS. And I was so thrilled to participate especially when I saw the site where we are to get our inspiration from. And yes, I'm also sooo excited as this is my very first CAS participation. :)

I got my particular inspiration on this shoes from Robeez. And you can tell by the look of my card that the inspiration really came there.

Okay to make it easier, here's a photo of the shoes:

And here's my card:

The Stylized Flower was so evident on that shoes that's why I used my Stylized Flower embossing folder. (really saved me time) My base is SU! Blush Blossom (looking at the shoes, it was taken from the colours of other flowers) and the Purely Pomegranate stitched ribbon that I used was taken from the shoes' garter and the bow on its side. Did you see it?

Have to go now and eat my lunch. I'll be finishing another card in awhile and will post it here soon as I'm done with it.

Have a great day everyone and thanks for the blog visit. :)

Charlie Horse for CDSWCC10 & So Sketchy!

Hello everyone! Happy Monday! It's almost 2am now here in Australia and I've just finished my card for Clear Dollars Stamps' Weekly Colour Challenge {CDSWCC10} over PCP. This is actually my first participation in this challenge that's why I'm excited to share with you what I came up with.

CD Stamps is one of the first stamps that I fell in love with. And Charlie Horse is my very first order from them. :) I almost forgot that I have this little fella until I saw Laurie's blog with this color challenge and so I remembered I have Charlie and used him on this card.

The colours are So Saffron, Black, Certainly Celery and White/Ivory. I added another color which is Choc Chip to complement Charlie's colour. This card is also patterned to So Sketchy! March sketch. I sponged the sky using SU! Soft Sky and made some grasses as well.

Thanks for looking and I've just noticed that I'm only less than 3 weeks away from celebrating my 1st blogoversary! Wohoo!! Watch out for some surprises!!!

Thank you so much for your endless support and for believing in my creativity (somehow, lol!) I just hope you won't get tired of visiting my blog and I also hope that I inspire you in my own little way.

Have a blessed day and be safe! :)
