My First Magnolia Image

Yes! This is my very first Tilda image. And she was given to me by my online buddy Sammi. Thanks heaps Sammi! I never really thought that I would enjoy colouring her and putting her on a card. Send me more of her please? LOL!

Have you noticed the bg (the one behind Tilda)? I used my Scor-Pal to make those scores ;)! I guess I will really make use of my new toy more often. And have you noticed as well that I used Prima flowers here? Hehehe....I don't have Primas before (but now I'm starting to hoard a bit of them) and I don't normally use flowers on my cards (you can check out my previous cards and you can definitely tell). Well it's a different story now, I will be using Primas more often especially that I was able to source out where to buy them a bit cheaper here in Australia. Talkin' about bargain!

So, what do you think about my first Magnolia card? I would love to hear from you my dear blog readers and fellow bloggers.

Until next post. :)

SC200 Card Sketch Challenge

OMGosh! I can't believe that this is my 100th post! lol! And I'm also a bit surprised with myself as I was able to make cards for the SCS card sketch challenge for 2 consecutive days! Wow!!! Here's the SC200 card that I finished just a few minutes ago. Sorry for the image is a bit blurry and the camera didn't capture the Lovely Lilac colour cs on top.
The stamp used was from the Asian Influences set by Inkadinkado. My bg paper and adhesive ribbon are both from Far East collection by DCWV. This is also the first time I used my Nestabilities Geometrics (Octagon) that served as a mat for my stamped image. The image was actually coloured with Aquarell and I put on some Clear Copic Spica for added glitter. The lilac rhinestone (it's too small, it's on the "handle" of the fan) is from Kaiser craft.
Oh, and have you noticed that I already have a watermark on my uploaded photos. Yay for me! I've learned and started using it just yesterday and will use it everytime I upload photos of my cards anywhere. :)
Thanks for looking and Happy Saturday! God bless!

MY New Toy, Stuffs, SC199 and Design Team News!

Hi everyone! I'm so thrilled to share with you my new stuffs which I received yesterday. I ordered some new packs of SU! Rich Regals, In Color and Chocolate Chip. I also got myself a Horizontal Slot punch and the slit punch. I also have some DCWV adhesive ribbons which I bought over Big W.

AND...I got myself a new toy! A SCOR-PAL! Yay!!!! Can't wait to try the projects that I saw over the Scor-Pal site. But as a starter, I used it to do a usual card scoring on this card that I'm about to show you...

My SC199 card! I rarely join the card sketch challenges over SCS but I thought I'd give this sketch a try and here's what I came up with.

The image is a RAK from the talented Janette Olen. I coloured it with my Aquarell using a blender pen. I then used my Heidi Grace paper for the very first time. I really like this paper as it complemented on SU!'s Summer Sun and Choc Chip. And I also used my slot punch here to slide through my grosgrain ribbon. :)

AND I have another news for you. Gorgeous Sammi asked me to be part of her Design Team for her soon-to-be launched Crafty Muse blog wherein we will be making cards using her very own designed images (which will soon be sold as stamps!). Yay!! I was so excited & I told her I'd be happy to join her DT and told her as well that at least, someone believes in my talent aside from my darling hubby! LOL!! I will be making my first card as Crafty Muse DT member and you'll be seeing it officially on Crafty Muse blog real soon. SO watch out for it. Oh, I'm so excited and at the same time nervous (water please? lol!) Thanks so much Sammi. There are actually 4 of us in the design team but Sammi will be choosing another 2 DT members for the first challenge that she will be hosting. So, if you fancy joining us, give it a try. ;)

Guess this is all for now. It's already 326am here in Australia and I'm still wide awake. I just can't help but post these good things and share them with you.

'Til next post. Have a blessed day!

More Cards Received

I've been receiving more cards lately and I just thought of sharing them with you. The first one was from Peggy which I received along with her Peggy's Pretties that I won on her blog candy. Thanks once again, Peggy!

These 2 cards were from Chrissie. Thanks so much, you really surprised me with this. I got this yesterday. :) These cards were fresh from UK ;)

And the last one is from Sammi. Thanks so much Sam! She also sent me some Tilda images and PIF stuffs. Sammi is an online buddy whom I met over SCS. She's also from Australia, also a Christian and we're actually suburb neighbours. :) We haven't met personally yet but I know it will be soon. ;)

Thanks so much ladies. Your cards brought a smile to my face and a joy in my heart. I feel so blessed to know you. May God bless you more.

Vintage Cards

Hi everyone! I know I haven't been posting lately, forgive me but I was just really busy here around the house. I've done some cards but it's only now that I got the chance to upload them. These cards were vintage inspired. Well, I once again joined this online shop card competition (remember I won 2nd the last time?) and the theme was "vintage" or to create a card using techniques such as aging, distressing...anything vintage-related. So here are the 2 cards that I tried to have a vintage feel (somehow LOL!)

Below is another shot of the first card for you to see that part of the image was popped-up.

And the 2nd card is an Asian influence card using the stamp set of the same name (Asian Influences by Inkadinkado). This stamp set is part of my 2nd-placed prize. :)

I will be posting again later once I finished some chores that need to be done.

Happy stamping and thanks for looking!
