First Tilda Christmas Card

Happy Thursday! Hope you're all doing well upon visiting my blog. I mentioned yesterday that I was finishing another Tilda card and now, I want to present to you, my first ever Tilda Christmas card!!

I don't have any Tilda under Christmas collection, in fact, I only have 3 Tilda stamps. Yes, just 3 (atm lol!), and the 2 stamps just arrived this week so they're still yet to be inked. Most of the Magnolia images that I use here are RAKs from my kind and lovely online friends. :) But to tell you honestly, any Tilda can be a Christmas Tilda!! You just have to give it a Christmasy colour/theme just like what I did with this one. And then of course, complement it with Christmas themed dp or accessories/embellishments and not to forget the sentiment!

I coloured Tilda with Copic markers which I'm not really good at! Haha! I only have limited numbers of Copics so I can't do some shading effect. But I do have other markers like Bic Mark-It which is also good and the ones from the makers of Inque Boutique/See D's stamps which is Whispers markers. Since I acquired Prismacolor pencils, and learning the odourless solvent technique, I seldom use my Copics not unless I want my image to pop-out or to give it some vibrant look.

I experimented on my frame where Tilda is sitting 'coz I wanted to have all the colours of her outfit to be in the frame. I stamped my sentiment (from Kaisercraft) onto my Fancy Pants dsp using Versafine red. I then distressed the edges and inked them with the same ink I used for the sentiment. I then punched 4 holes on the 4 corners of the sentiment paper so that a small green colour would pop out. Finished it off by scattering a somewhat generous amount of Stickles Icicle onto the sentiment panel.

Here's a close up of Tilda...

I'm starting to make Christmas cards now because it takes time to put a handmade card altogether (not to mention creating at least 40-50pcs of it!) LOL! So, the earlier the better. ;-]

Thanks for the visit and may you always feel the love of our dear God surrounding you regardless of life's pressures and trials.

Have a blessed day!

Hugs to all,

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #16

Hello everyone! I'm back with a card to share with you. But before I go on, I would like to extend my warmest regards to those who prayed for me during my Australian Citizenship test and my medical procedures which all happened last week. Thanks sooo much especially to my church family who, of course, also prayed for me. God is really good as I always say, and He is good all the time. :)

Okay, now on with the card. I haven't been making cards lately but I have coloured few images given to me by my online friend, Bec of BizzyBecs. :) So, I started with the Magnolia Down Under Challenge #16 for some Mojo-kick! LOL! You know sometimes it's hard to create a card when you took a vacation from doing it. The mechanics set for this challenge is to use the following colour combos:

- Pink, Brown and Cream/White
- Orange, Brown and Cream/White
- Blue, Brown and Cream/White

Yay! Soon as I saw the colour brown, I got so excited! Just in case you don't know, brown is my favourite colour. And combining it with other colours (especially with pink and orange) is as easy as a breeze to me. ;-) I chose the first colour combo for my card.

Here it is:

This card also highlights one of the new accessories stamps by BizzyBecs...here I used this sofa/couch where Tilda comfortably sits on. This is superb Bec, very perfect for those sitting Tildas. (thumbs up for you!) Here's another shot:

I also once again used my Shimmerz (Butter Cream) and applied a bit of it just enough to cover the middle part of each petals, leaving the colour cream of its sides. I also applied Shimmerz onto my cream paper rose...

and shimmerz onto Tilda's brown dress. I hope you can see the shimmery effect on this photo.

I'm into finishing another Tilda card and will post it tomorrow after doing the house chores. :)

Let me know what you think and thanks so much for visiting.

God bless us all!

Hugs,

ETA: The Choc Chip cs that I used is the negative side of Nestabilites die cut from which I cut out a scalloped oval that I used for another card. I was thinking of using those "negative sides" so as not to waste it (especially if a Choc Chip cs was used...it's my fav!) that's why I took the chance of using it in this particular card. At least nothing was wasted! ;)

Thanks for the Prayers

Hello everyone! You may be wondering why I haven't posted for awhile. Well, first and foremost, I was busy reviewing for my Australian Citizenship test. I took the test last Thursday, 18 June and thank God, I passed with flying colours! Got a perfect score!! Yay! So yeah, I will just have to fill up forms and wait for the oathtaking. It's a new ruling here in Australia that before you become a citizen, you have to take the citizenship exam test and, get at least 12 out of 20 correct answers and you have to answer the 3 mandatory questions correctly.

Then on Friday, I was admitted at the hospital for a day procedure. I had Endoscopy and Colonoscopy which was done in one go the day after I had my test. The preparation was the hardest part. :( Imagine I wasn't allowed to take any solid foods (just water, clear fruit juice and clear soup) a day before the procedure. SO just imagine how dizzy I was while I was taking the citizenship exam at 130PM! And I really prayed a lot to God for strength and He answered it! My medical procedure went well, nothing nasty was seen. I was found to have an inflamed antrum so they took some tissue to have it checked but my local doctor told me that it's nothing serious. They just want to know if the inflammation is due to acid or to a certain type of bacteria.

To those who have prayed for me, thanks so much. I really appreciate it and it only proved that God really answers prayers. He is so faithful and we really can rely on Him, all we have to do is lift everything up to Him and be still. He is God...my God and He knows what's best for each and everyone of us. Thanks again for the prayers. I'm still a bit groggy due to anesthesia, I feel sleepy everytime since Friday but other than that, I'm doing fine. Back to my full meal....and will be back soon to stamp and create cards. :)

All glory, honour and praise belongs to Jesus. Amen.

Thanks for the visit.
