A Romans 8:28 Birthday Card

Good Morning everyone! May the blessings of our loving God be with you all. Yes, it's 5am here in Sydney and am currently awake (isn't it obvious? lol!) as my hubby just left for his work. So, before going back to bed, I decided to post the card that I made last night. This is a card requested by churchmate to be given on someone's birthday. She told me to use a colour yellow and because she wanted it to be lively-looking and a bit bright.

And so, I went for SU! Summer Sun which, I believe, fits the description of lively and a bit bright. I then asked her for another colour to combine yellow with but she left it all up to me. :D

Here's what I came up with:

A combination of Summer Sun and a Turquoise (?) coloured cs!! I just love how this turquoise cs made the yellow pop out! And the paper of course if from the yummy Basic Grey Urban Prairie collection.

I stamped the image onto Whisper White with my Versafine Onyx Black and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder. I then sponged around it with Summer Sun ink using a dauber carefully doing it so as to make the sponging soft-looking. Did you know that I normally use cosmetic sponge whenever I do sponging? Well, this time I used a dauber (which I bought the other day at Big W). I tell you, the result is very different and I feel like I can control my sponging with a dauber than with the cosmetic sponge. :D

Here's a close up of the verse. I used my ODBD Scripture Collection 2 (Romans 8:28) for this. And the verse is just really true...

ALTERED CADDIES

Hello everyone!! I missed you all! How's life keepin' you? Hope everything's doing well. I have been quite a busy bee altering caddies these past few days. And since I've done 2 so far (and still have quite few to finish), I want to share it with you.

First, I want you to see the caddy at its raw state:


And here are the altered ones:

The first was one was given to a churchmate/friend and I asked her for her colour preferences. She said she wanted earth colours so I went for brown (my fav!) and a teal/turqouise combo. The dp I used was really yummy (just like Basic Grey, LOL!), and these are from Chatterbox.

The 2nd caddy is for our wedding godmother who will be celebrating her birthday on the 28th of this month. The papers used here are from Heidi Grace and Basic Grey (where I stamped the bible verse on). I used ODBD Scripture Collection 1 & 2 for both caddies and I also heat-embossed them with clear ep. Flowers and buttons were added to jazz it up more.

OK...so what do you think? Any reaction? :D
