WINTER TILDA!

Happy Wednesday everyone!  I'm so glad that after awhile, I was finally able to make another Magnolia card. I was able to find time to sit and stamp this afternoon, hence, a card for these TWO challenges:

- Magnolia Down Under Challenge#50 - Swirly Swirls
- Bizzy Becs June Store Competition - Winter theme, Bec also encouraged us to use the lay-outs she provided but it's not a "must".

I chose this lay-out for my card:

And here's my card:

You can see the swirls (for the MDUC#50 challenge) on the dp that I used which is from Kaisercraft and the mat that I used behind Tilda was also embossed using Cuttlebug Swirls embossing folder and since "winter" is the theme for Bizzy Becs Competition, what else can be more wintery than a Tilda with a scarf and mittens? ;)  I coloured Tilda with Copics.  I recently bought few pieces of Copics to add to my collection and used some of them here.  I'm still practicing how to colour Tilda's face but I like how this one turned out, somehow. LOL!

The background trees were from Stampin' Up Lovely As A Tree set.  I stamped it using Versafine Smokey Grey and lightly coloured it with chalk. Chalking was also done to create the sky scene.  To make it more look wintery, I embellished it using Liquid Pearls here and there to mimic "snow".  I actually used White gel pen at first but it didn't look good when it had dried up so I went over it again with Liquid Pearls.  Here's another angle shot:

The flowers are from Prima and the pine branch were created using McGill's branch punch that I purchased from Bizzy Becs few months ago.

Thank you so much for visitng and I hope I somehow inspired you with what I've created today.

God bless us all!

Labels Eight Birthday

This is a requested card from a church friend and obviously it's a birthday card. LOL! Well, I made use of my Labels Eight die to make the main panel.  The plum cardstock is from Bazill.  The white background was embossed with Victorian embossing folder and was sprayed with Glimmer Mist Pearl. Sentiment is from Jemac stamps.

Thanks for looking! Have a blessed day!
