Darkroom Door {Birthday}
Happy Wednesday!!! It's freezin' cold here right now! And very windy, too. Well, I just couldn't believe that it's been more than a week now since I last posted. Where did the days go? I've been organising and cleaning around the house and I'm actually halfway through with it, at least.
No stamping or cardmaking done during those days. But this card that I'm about to share with you was created before I got into my home organising/cleaning issues.
I made this card for the leader of the Music Ministry of our church . Hubby and him share the same birthday and I made a special card for hubby, too (of course!) I'll show it to you in a little while. I was looking for an aged sheet music dp but couldn't find the one that I like. So, I ended up buying a stamp set from Darkroom Door which is I think fits perfectly for this card.
The image (sheet music) was stamped using Choc Chip onto a Basic Grey dp. You know the plain ones of Basic Grey has always some distressed look on it that's why I chose to stamp my image there. I then distressed the edges (with my edge distresser tool) and inked them up with Choc Chip. I also stamped some musical notes onto the paper inside the card.
What do you think? Does it look distressed enough? :) We handed this card to our friend last Sunday along with our gift which we put inside my handmade gift bag. Hubby and I were very glad 'coz our friend liked it very much!
Okay let me know what you think by leaving some comments when you get the chance. I'll be back later with the birthday card that I made for my darling hubby.
Have a blessed day and be safe always!
