A CAS CHRISTMAS

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Wow! It's been 5 months and a day since I last posted here! I can't believe it!  I've been off the blogland that long?  Well, I don't really know what happened! LOL! It's just that I felt I didn't have the energy and the inspiration to create a card.  My mojo went away and didn't come back for months.  My craft area is inside my son's room and for the past 5 months, I didn't touch anything there.  My table was so messy and was made as a temporary area for our folded clothes and other stuffs.  I still did online shopping for crafting supplies (thinking it would somehow kickstart my mojo), but when my orders arrived, still I didn't have the urge to create. :(  Not until yesterday when I decided to do some cleaning and de-cluttering on my craft area and while doing so, I realized how much I've neglected my "hobby".  So after cleaning the mess and organizing stuffs, I decided to create a card.

At first I didn't care about the theme of the card that I was about to make. All I wanted was to make a card. Period.  But while I was organizing my new supplies, I saw this stamp set given to my by my cousin Joan from USA.  I thought, well, I might as well start with a simple card and the best way to do it is to make a CAS card. No layering, not too much embellishments ---- just white on white. And this CAS Christmas card was created. :)

Btw, the stamp set is called Cool Christmas by Inkadinkado.

Thank you so much for reading my post and to all my followers who sticked with me (and my blog) regardless of my long absence ---- THANKS HEAPS!

Have a blessed day!

My Project Last Christmas

Hello fellow bloggers, stampers and crafters! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas Day with your family and friends.  Few days from now and we will be welcoming the New Year --- how fast the time flies!  I sometimes wish it will go slow a bit especially when you're having good times and creating lasting memories with family, relatives and friends.  :)  Anyways, been busy before Christmas and I failed to share this project that I made for the season.  It's a wreath --- a Christmas Balls Wreath.

The ornament balls (silver ones) were leftovers from what I've used on our Christmas tree and I just added few coloured balls to give it some pop.  The pine cones were from a gift that we received from a church friend and the tinsel was from the dollar shop.  The ribbon was from a previous sale and I'm so glad how it complemented my wreath. I made the bow myself. :)

This was just easy to make, so easy that my hubby got inspired and had a take on this. Here's his finished wreath:

I called his wreath "wintery wreath" because of its colours. :)  What do you think? (I also made the bow on this). As I've said, this project is so easy and you can find a lot of instructions on the web.

Thanks so much for looking and have a blessed Wednesday!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Though we don't celebrate that here in Australia, I believe that everyday should be a Thanksgiving Day as our Father in heaven blesses us everyday as well. Let's learn to live with a grateful heart while acknowledging that everything that we have comes from God. Praise God from Whom all blessings flow!!

Here's my take for this week's sketch challenge (SC360) over SCS. The images that I used are actually not from a Christmas stamp set --- I just dressed it up to make it look Christmasy. (talking about improvising).

I didn't cut the circles but did the other option of layering on top of 2. What else? My McGill branch punch didn't work so I used this Fern punch from Carl Craft instead. The hats are actually birthday hats from the same stamp set (Changito Dos) so I just adorned it with stickles and pom poms on top to make it look like Santa's hat. :)

Here's the sketch:

And here's my card:

A closer shot of the monkey couple :)

Thanks for the visit and have a blessed day!

Can't Get Enough of This TREE :)

Happy Thursday everyone! I made 2 cards more for the CAS145 and TLC352 challenge over SCS and I used the Pine tree again from the SU! set Lovely As A Tree. I just can't get enough of it, really! LOL!  The first card is a "night" version of my first CAS145 card, cut out the tree and used pop dots for a bit of dimension. I also stamped (and cut) a holly and did paper piercing. The tree has glitters on it. Unfortunately, the camera wasn't able to capture it.

The second card is a non-traditional Christmas card (with a non-traditional colour of Christmas tree) :)
A Pine/Christmas tree stamped in Versacube Topaz. A different kind of Christmas tree with an aged/distressed look. :)

Thanks for visiting! Have  a blessed day!

The tree is from SU! Lovely As A Tree set and blocked ones to mimic a window is from their Background Sampler set. Just a simple card but looks so wintery, IMO. :)

Here's a closer shot of the tree:

WINTER CHRISTMAS CARDS

Happy Monday everyone! All praise and thanks to our Lord Jesus for a brand new week and for sustaining us for the weeks that had passed.  It's been more than 2 weeks since I last posted and I want to make up for those by sharing with you 2 Christmas cards that I've created.

I've actually made these cards weeks ago but haven't had the chance to post them. But upon seeing the challenge on SCS ---WT349 Baby, It's Cold Outside, I thought this is the proper time to share them. :)

For both cards, I used the images from Crafters Companion.  I've had this stamp set for more than a year now but only got the chance to ink them up recently.

The background on the first card is from SU! Lovely As A Tree and the sentiment is from Justrite Stampers Nested Christmas Sentiments.

 Here's a close-up shot of the images:

The second card is just a simple one. Also coloured with Copics and the white areas of the image's clothing was embellished with Martha Stewart Crystal Fine glitter.

Here's a close-up:

Thank you so much for looking and for visiting my blog.

Until next post!  Have a blessed day!

'TIS THE SWEETEST SEASON

I was rushing on this card when I saw that there's only 50mins left before the link closes. This is just a 10-minute card (or even less) but unfortunately, when I went to the Justrite Christmas Linky Party to link my card -- it was already closed. (sigh)

But it's okay. At least I was able to submit three cards. :)  And at least, I know now how to make a card under 10 minutes. LOL!!! I'll just look at the bright side. :)

Have a happy Wednesday everyone! Be blessed!

JUSTRITE CHRISTMAS LINKY PARTY - Card #3

Happy Sunday everyone! I'm just making this post short and sweet for today.  It's been a long but blessed day for us after we have fellowshipped with our brothers and sisters in Christ from our Worship Service this afternoon followed by a scrumptious fellowship dinner.

I'm sharing with you today my Justrite Christmas Linky Party Card #3. Here it is:

The sentiment is from Christmas Nested Sentiments set of Justrite Stampers but the Fir tree stamp is from a different stamp company (I forgot the name).  I hope this will qualify to the Justrite Christmas Linky Party challenge though but if not, I'm still happy to share it with you.

I created the scene by masking and sponging and I somehow like how it turned out.

What do you think? ;)

Thanks for the visit and have a blessed day!

Pink and Green Christmas

Happy Saturday everyone! I really wanted to post this yesterday but didn't get the chance to do so. This is my Justrite Christmas Linky Party Card #2 -- Pink and Green Christmas!! I'm also entering this to this week's Free For All Challenge (F4A88) over SCS.

The stamps that I used here are from 2 different Justrite stamp sets. The center is from the Sweet Treats set and the border is from the Christmas Treasures set.  The gorgeous pink dp isn't actually Christmas-related but made it work here, LOL!  It's actually from DCWV Sweet Stack.

The 2 green flowery-starry thing, or whatever you may call it shouldn't actually be there (the sparkly ones on left and right) but I made a bit of a boo boo here that's why they had to be there. LOL!  Everything's adhered and done when I noticed a small patch of green ink on the right side of the dp and the base itself (if you'll take a look closely, you can see the one on the base). To correct the accident, I sponged lightly on the card base and it looked naturally after that. But on the dp itself --- wow! I've really got to find a way to rectify that.  That's where these 2 green flowery things came to the rescue. If you have the Lacy Circles (which I used to mat my biggest circle here), then you know that there will be small leftovers of  cardstock on the die (on the scallops itself) which look like a grain of rice.  I adhered those to a circle double-adhesive pop dots then sprinkled it with MS Glitter + Stickles Star Dust to conceal the gaps.  The gaps are still obvious though but I just look at it as some kind of a "style". And that rectified  my problem!!!! I'm a genius! LOL!!

Here's a close-up of my focal image:

Thanks for visiting and for following my blog. I'll be working on my Card #3 this afternoon and hopefully will be able to post it, too. For the meantime, it's house chores for me! :)

Have a blessed Saturday!

Christmas Stocking

Happy Wednesday everyone! We're having a lovely weather here in Sydney today. Not too hot, not too cold -- just right! :)  Lovely weather to sit, stamp and create a card for this weeks colour combination challenge (CC347) over SCS.  The colours for this week are: More Mustard, Always Artichoke and Bravo Burgundy.
Here's my take on that:

I didn't have any SU! More Mustard cs left so I just chose a cs closer to it.  My image was coloured with mostly SU! markers to match that's why there isn't to much shading done here. The only Copic marker that I used was E000 for the face. I didn't know what was on my mind when I did the faux stitching, LOL! Oh well, all was pierced and done. Haha! I actually made some faux stitching error on the bottom right so I just concealed it by adhering a burgundy flower on it. :) Smart move eh?  The Always Artichoke base was embossed with Cuttlebug Snowflakes 2 embossing folder and the burgundy strip was also embossed with a cuttlebug embossing folder (I forgot the name). Finished it off by embelleshing the white part of the image's hat with Stickles Star Dust.

Here's a closer shot of the image:

The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and die-cut with Nesties Deckled Rectangle Lrg while the mustard-coloured cs was cut free-hamd using a deckled decorative scissors. The edges looked like they were cut with the same material. :)

Thank you for the visit and I'll see you on my next post.

God bless!

More Christmas Baubles

Happy Tuesday blogland!! So happy to be sharing with you the cards that I made few weeks ago wherein I used Christmas Baubles image from my so-neglected Kaisercraft Christmas Doodles stamp set.  I was wishing for an SU! Tree Trimmings set but since I don't have it then, I remember that I have these clear stamps bauble images that has been sitting on my stamps cabinet and just gathering dust. I gotta be creative so shile waiting for the Tree Trimmings, I made couple of cards using these images:

I just used a ruler and my Copic pen to make the "string" for the baubles. I coloured the images using Copic markers and I embossed the panels using Cuttlebug embossing folder (in this case, the Divine Swirls). The sentiments are from Justrite Stampers Nested Christmas Verses which I bought from ebay. These are basically clean and simple but "glittery" as I used my MS Crystal Fine Glitter to give my baubles the "it" look. ;-)

Thanks for looking and I'll see you next post.

Have a blessed day!

ODBDSLC41 TAKE TWO! (Another Christmas Church)

Good afternoon! Here I am once again with another card for ODBDSLC41 Inspiration challenge! As I've said, I used the same image that I used on my previous post.  But this time, I stamped it on the main panel and worked my way from there.  I don't normally do it but since I want my image and my sentiment to be on just one panel, I tried and I'm glad it somehow worked! Thanks to Stamp A-Majig!!

The image was coloured with Copics and I sponged around it using So Saffron ink. I then stamp my sentiment from Justrite Stampers Christmas Nested Verses where I want it positioned using Stamp A-Majig. I then embossed the whole panel using Cuttlebug Swiss Dots to mimic falling snow (which I learned from Ms Amy Scheffer from one of her cards last year).  I then used liquid applique to put some "snow" on the trees and on the church.  The wreath on the church door was embellished with Flower Soft Christmas Green.  So lovely IRL! My inspiration was once again taken from this photo that they provided:

Thanks once again for looking and for the visit.

God bless us all!

ODBDSLC41 Inspiration {Christmas Church}

Happy Wednesday everyone! It's been weeks since I last posted here and I just want to apologize once again.  I was so busy making Christmas cards orders and didn't get the chance to update my blog. The past weeks were hectic I tell ya, but I'm glad as school holidays officially started today. That means I have more time to relax, stamp and post on my blog. :)

This card is my entry for ODBDSLC41 wherein we have to take inspiration on the photos provided on ODBD blog. I chose this church image from ODBD's "Worship the Lord" set. This is an unusual colour of Christmas and unusual colour of church - purple! :)  I like how we can colour images to our own preference or liking.  I coloured it using Copics and adorned it with Liquid Applique to mimic snow. The trees were embellished with Flower Soft Christmas Green (I like it! And it's the first time I used it!) I cut it using Nesties Labels One and sponged the sky with my Tim Holtz's Broken China ink.  I embossed the background with Swiss Dots for a winter effect (as if there's snow falling). I stamped the sentiment (from ODBD as well) using my Stamp A-Majig and finished it off with a purple satin ribbon. My inspiration was generally taken from this photo. I just changed  some of its colours.

I made another card using the same image and will make a different post as it's my 2nd entry for the ODBDSLC41 challenge. :)

Have a blessed day!

CARDS, CARDS, CARDS!

Happy Wednesday blogland!!  Few more days and December is here and I'm still rushing with my Christmas cards! Whew!!  I was so busy these past few days that I didn't have the time to open my blog and post the cards that I've finished. Sorry my dear followers, I bet you can relate with me because I believe you are busy as I am these days. :)

Anyway, here are some of the few cards that I was able to finish. I still have yet to take photos of another 4 cards that I've done the other day.  Let me share with you these 3 first. ;)

The stamps I used for the first 2 cards were from Sweet N' Sassy stamps Christmas scripture set.  I think I bought it more than a year ago and I also made cards using the same stamp set last year. The last one was from Justrite Stampers Christmas Treasures.  i haven't been colouring with my Copics for awhile now so this is just like first time for me (again! LOL!).  Just made everything simple without too much embellishments so there will be no hassle with mailing. (which I've experienced quite a few times).

I guess this is all for now.  Have to run back on my crafting table and finish my to-do list.

Thanks for visiting and have a blessed Wednesday!

SILENT NIGHT, HOLY NIGHT (CAS93 and SSCC65)

Wow! I can't believe that we're already in the middle of November and I'm still well behind with my Christmas cards! Ugh!! Anyways, I hope I'll be able to create more within this week.  My card for today is based on two challenges:

CAS93  a sketch inspired by ltecler and,
SSCC65 based on John 3:30 verse ("He must increase, but I must decrease.")

On SSCC65 we have 3 options on how to present our card.  One is to make a CAS card to show that I need to decrease;  two is to make a "more is more" card showing that God must increase and three is to make a simple version of a card then we'll show the more is more version.

As I've said I chose to make the CAS card because I want others to see more of Jesus in me and less of myself. Hence, the simplicity of my card. :)  I haven't coloured for months now and it felt like first time to me while I was colouring this image from Justrite Christmas Treasures set. I actually went over the circle stamped margin while I was sponging the sky (not in purpose, of course, LOL!). And to make unnoticeable, after cutting it with Circle Nesties, I coloured the white area with my Copic marker, put some glue on it and sprinkled it generously with my MS Crystal Fine Glitter!! The dp is from Graphic 45 (from my stash) and I just adorned it with leaves from Prima Christmas mix and a pearl at the center.

Thanks for visiting once again and see you on my next post.

Have a blessed day!

Frame Cards

Happy Monday everyone!! I once again apologize for being on MIA mode for the past few weeks.  Just recently, I was down with the flu for a week and few days after my two boys got it, too. :( To make it short, they missed a week of school because of that and hubby took a week off from work to look after us. Thank God for him! :)

I was actually about to start with my Christmas cards orders when the flu thing arrived. But prior to that, I was on the finishing touches with these Christmas Frame cards that were also part of my orders.  I just did the "very final" finishing touches soon as I got well. I made 2 of each design to maximize the materials used. :)

And here's one with my DS2's photo being the model. :)

The dps are mostly from DCWV Christmas stack and the cs used were from Core'dinations cs. Embellishments were from my stash and I used different Stickles to add interest to the frame.

Thanks for visiting and for always following my blog.

God bless!

WINTER WHITE OUT

Happy Friday fellow bloggers! Things had been a bit busy last week because it was my birthday and wedding anniversary week. :)  I wasn't able to sit and stamp but I was able to savour the moments when hubby and I were together without the kids. Just US! :)

This card is for the Winter White Out Free for All challenge at SCS. I know this is a week behind but it's better late than never. LOL! I chose these colours just out of the blue and thought it would make a good combination. The gray cs is from SU! and the other one is from Bazzill (which closely looks like SU! Groovy Guava).
The stamp is from ebay (I think) and I just randomly stamped it while using a scratch circle frame. The outer frame is from JustRite Christmas set and was stamped with SU! Groovy Guava.

This card is also my entry for Joan's month-long blog candy in celebration of World Cardmaking Day! This is for week 3, I won week 1 :)  but missed to submit something on week 2. :(  Anyway, hope I'll be able to make cards for the rest of the blog candy weeks.

Have  a blessed day everyone and God bless us all!

UPDATE (with a card)

Hello everyone! Happy Thursday to all of you! Wow! Time flies so fast that I've just noticed I haven't been posting for almost a week now. I'm so sorry for that, guys. It has been a busy week for all of us here at home and WILL still be very busy as we approach our long-awaited holiday overseas!

My kids (and I) are actually doing the countdown! LOL! And I never thought packing will be that hard. I have to make a checklist so as not to forget something not to mention the things that my siblings want me to bring back home. :) And that's the reason why I don't have the time to sit and stamp so I hope you understand. I will probably won't be sharing much of my craft work for a few weeks as I will be busy exchanging updates, chatting, strolling here and there with my family and friends during our holiday! Well I have to make the most out of it as I haven't seen them for 4 straight years! So, just imagine. ;)

Anyways, I was able to whip a card the other day and I just went simple as possible as I did this in-between the packing and house chores. :)

Look how simple it is! But I really like it. :) I just went all white with a touch of Purely Pomegranate. I embossed the horizontal panel with Cuttlebug Holly embossing folder and sprayed Glimmer Mist Pearl generously on it. Though you can't see it on this shot, IRL it's really glimmery. I stamped my sentiment directly to the card base with my ODBD Stamp Joy to the World set using Purely Pomegranate Ink. And YAY for me 'coz I already have the "new" Martha Stewart Floral Vine deep edge punch! Wohoo!! Would you believe I was able to purchase it here in Australia??? Yeah, I got it from LimeTart with the kind assistance of its owner, Philippa. Thanks so much Philippa!! I finished off the card with some Plum pearls (Kaisercraft) and Prima flowers that complement the card. I gave this card yesterday to my son's Speech Therapist as they will have a session break for the holiday and she so liked it!

So, what do you think??

This is all for now and thank you so much for visiting eventhough I don't post that much lately. Rest-assured that I will be popping in once in awhile to update you.

God bless everyone! Keep smiling! =)

{WT248} HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Happy Friday everyone! This week's SCS Ways to Use It theme is "Let's Go Caroling". Make a card, altered project, tag etc., and incorporate it with the "carol song" that you chose or that inspired you. I chose Happy Holidays (by Bing Crosby) and used my Carolers stamp from Clearly Wordsworth.

I stamped and paper-pieced my image with the same Kaisercraft dsp that I used as background. I did some sponging and used Stickles here and there for some bling.

Thanks for looking and hope you will all have a Happy Holidays!

Have a blessed day!
