CAS Delicious! (Cupcake Birthday)

Hello everyone! Glad to be posting once again after few weeks.  I just couldn't believe that the card that I'm about to share with you is only my 4th for this month! :( Yikes!! What's happening with me?  I guess my mojo's really out there somewhere and will be staying long before coming back to me. :(  Anyways, I'm just glad I was able to make a card today and this one's for the CAS82 challenge over SCS wherein the theme is "Delicious".  I chose this cupcake image from Hero Arts because whenever I see one, I always go "YUM!".

The image was coloured with Copic markers and the rest of the sentiments were a combo of Imaginisce and Justrite Stampers. I embellished the image with a combination of stickles and finished it off with Chocolate pearls from Kaisercraft. This card is for my DS1's teacher who had her birthday last Sunday.  He only told me about this yesterday so this was kind of a rush.

This is it for now guys, You know, I really could use some motivation and encouragement here to get me back from stamping regularly. :(  But I guess this is just a normal phase that a stamper/crafter experiences (or is it just me?)

Thanks so much for your support and for your visits and to those who have just recently followed my blog -- THANKS VERY MUCH!

Have a blessed Tuesday!

CAS Mouse

Just want to share with you today a card that I made yesterday morning.  I didn't get the chance to post it yesterday so here it is.

Since I'm trying to win  my mojo back, I just made a clean and simple card to start off. The image was from House Mouse Christmas set and the sentiment was from Hero Arts Cupcake set.

Fairly simple, just  a punched border and some pearls to adorn the card.  The image btw, was stamped and heat-embossed with clear ep then coloured with Copic markers. I also did some soft sponging using a dauber and Versacolor Petal Pink ink.

That's all for now.  Will try to make a 2nd post later for the card that I created for SC293 over SCS.

Until then, enjoy your day!

God bless!

FTL81 Happy Birthday

Happy Thursday everyone! As I was reading a comment from VERA on my previous card (thanks so much for the lovely comment VERA, I appreciate it!), I visited her blog and saw this Clean & Simple Stamping challenge blog. And soon as I saw the challenge for this week, I felt I'd like to play along.

So here's my simple take on the sketch. I don't have circle punches (am I the only one?). Well, I mean, I do have them but what I have are those bigger than a 1" circle and so I just opted to use my Circle Nesties for this (the second to the smallest). It's still bigger than 1" though. :) Well, the challenge is to use circles and there isn't a limit to its size (is there? LOL!). Stamp is from Hero Arts and dp is from DCWV Garden Party stack.

Thanks for looking! Have a blessed day!

CAS31 POP IT UP CUPCAKES!

Happy Wednesday! I will be sharing with you today my take on CAS31 challenge. The challenge is to use dimensionals on your card to pop up something hence the title of the challenge: Pop It Up!

I did this card a few hours after the challenge was posted. I just pulled out a white square card, looked at it for awhile and decided to use my Hero Arts Cupcakes that seemed to be neglected for awhile now. This is really out of my comfort zone as I don't normally do a single-layer card and use Copics to colour any image on it. I didn't even have any planning prior to making this card, I just stamped, masked and used colours randomly. Of course, I have to pop up something, and that's when I decided to pop up the middle cupcake.

The middle cuppie was stamped thrice and the topmost layer is of course, the flower topping. I hope you can see the dimensions here:

Since I chose the middle cupcake as the "highlighted" image, I jazzed it up using my Copic Spica glitter pen and a generous amount of Icicles!! YUM!

Thanks so much for the visit and if you can, pls leave a message so I'll know what you think of this card. :)

God bless you!

Jhet

HAPPY BIRTHDAY card (with some hand-stitching)

Hello everyone! It's been awhile since I last posted here. Life was a bit busy but then this afternoon I was able to make a card. :)

The image is a RAK from the sweet & kind Janette. Thanks Janette! I finally used this gorgeous image from you. I actually coloured this more than a month ago, did some sky area on this then set it aside as I was still trying to figure out what sort of paper/s or cs I will use with this. And when I pulled it out today somewhere in my stash (along with other stamped images), I found out that the sky area that I made was ink-stained. Just so not to waste this cute image, I decided to cut it to get rid of the stain but ended up losing the sky area. :(

Anyways, I believe this turned out well somehow.

What do you think? Originally, the edges were faux-stitched but I ended up hand-stitching it upon stitching the button onto the flower. I don't know how to use the sewing machine and I don't even have that thing, so sometimes I settle for faux stitching (which I really seldom do). But why not hand-stitched, anyway? It also gives a different look on the project.

This second photo was taken with flash on. I wanted my viewers to see the sparkly red flower and sparkly flower on the girl's hat. I went over those flowers with Copic Spica glitter pen in Clear and Red. Btw, the lovely dp is from Basic Grey Two Scoops paper pad. It really is so lovely! My sentiment was from Hero Arts Cupcake set.

So....what do you think? ;) Did it turn out okay? Oh, the photo for my blog candy is already up. Check out this post to see it.

Thanks for looking and have a blessed Friday!

IC172 Birthday Cupcake

Hello fellow stampers and bloggers! I've just finished my IC172 challenge card over SCS and before going to sleep, I want to share with you first what I came up with. Here's where I took my inspiration:

And here is my card:

You know brown is my fav colour that's why when I saw this brown-coloured dress, I didn't think twice anymore. My Choc Chip panel was matted on the SU! Soft Sky base. I also cut a smaller panel of Soft Sky and adhered a Dena Designs dp on top of it then used my ticket corner punch to give the 4 corners a different look. I coloured my image with Copic Markers. I actually stamped my image twice on Whisper White cs and coloured both of them. I cut my 2nd stamped image then used some pop dots to give it some dimension.

Btw, we weren't able to join our church yesterday in going to Kangaroo Valley. Hubby wasn't feeling well so we decided to stay home.

Thanks for the visit and I'll see you next post.

Hi everyone! It's my first time to join the Featured Stamper challenge over SCS and I found it so exciting! JulieHRR is our Featured Stamper of the week and you can view her wondeful gallery here. I chose to CASE her "You're my Cuppa" card and I just changed the dp, the ribbon and the image but maintained the lay out.
Here's my card:

And a bit of a closer shot..(for you to see the glimmery heart)

Thanks for looking and will post more later. ;-)

Cupcake Cards (again)

Good Morning, y'all! It's really a blessing waking up to another beautiful day, isn't it? That's why let's not forget to give thanks and praise to our Creator who is the Giver of this wonderful gift called "life".

I slept at 2am (yes..2am) and was able to accomplish these 2 yummy cupcake cards (I told you, I would be making lots of cupcake cards hehehe!) Just can't resist the Hero Arts Cupcake stamp set. They're very gorgeous!

Here's the first one:

I used this patched patterned paper from K & Co., cardstock, petite circle classic and scallop nestabilities, stamps (by Hero Arts), Sugarloaf markers, watercolour pencils

The next card was made of stamped and cut-out cupcakes. I cut a strip of SU! Pumpkin Pie, put a green grossgrain ribbon on top of it from BizzyBecs and adhere my cupcakes using 3D dots.

So, these are my cards for today. Off to do some chores then visit Roselands (or Westfield) to look for some of those magnetic sheets. (I'm working on storing my Nestabilities..they're growing hehehe) Any suggestions?

Feel free to leave a comment, ok? May we all have a blessed day today.

Cheers!
