BIRTHDAY CARD

Happy APRIL!! Wow! Time really flies so fast, I can't believe APRIL is already here! And my boys have started their self-proclaimed holiday today. LOL! Well, officially, their holiday starts tomorrow but they're having theirs today. :)

I have a birthday card to share with you today. This image is another RAK image and a first-time for me to colour in. I believe this cute girl is from Sugar Nellie's Gorjuss Girls. I coloured her with Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils. And on this card too, I did the "tile technique" which is so much fun to do! I thought it was kinda hard but it was actually easy as a pie. I took a closer shot so you can see the shine on the tile:

The lovely dp is from Basic Grey Lilykate pad. The leaves were created using my single fern punch. What I did was to punch heaps of them and glued them altogether onto a piece of cardstock so it will appear that they're just coming from one branch. That's how I improvise for now but my fern punch that I ordered from BEC will be here anytime soon! YAY! Can't wait! The sentiment is from Jemac stamp which I bought for $1 during a craft show.

This card is actually for my niece who will be celebrating her 18th this Sat. I've just posted it and I know it will arrive late considering it's Holy Week and they're overseas! Well, better late than never. :)

Thanks for the visit! Till next post. God bless us all.

SC214 Sugar Nellie

Hi everyone! I've been a bit busy this afternoon sorting my scraps and cleaning my work table. I only had the chance to make a card around 9pm and I'm glad I was able to finish it and upload it before 12MN. (and not my usual 2 or 3am uploads, lol!)

Anyway, I really like the sketch challenge today over SCS. I guess I'll be using this more often. Here's my take on the challenge using Sugar Nellie RAK image from Bec.

I forgot the name of the stamp (Bec, help me please?) but it's from Sugar Nellie. I coloured the image using Prismacolor pencils and odourless solvent. I did some sponging around the image with my Versacolor Baby Blue ink pad. The dp that I used is from Imaginisce (A Shore Thing) and some of its flowers are glittery, though can't see them on this photo. The dp is gorgeous IRL. I then embossed my right panel with Bloom Dots embossing folder (Cuttlebug) and matted it with a yellow cs (unknown source).
Hope you somehow got inspired with my latest card. Until next post. Good night from Sydney, Australia!
Hugs,

So Sweet n' Sassy - WT201

Hi everyone! Hope you're having a wonderful day wherever you are. I've made a card last night and it's for the Ways to Use It 201 challenge over SCS. You will look for some colour combos and apply it on your card (this is apart from the color combo challenge that they hold weekly). I used the colours from this site and I really liked the way it turned out. Here's my card with the Sugar Nellie image that Bec sent me:

I coloured her with my favourite medium (so far, lol!), Prismacolor pencils with odourless solvent and blending stumps. The card turned out to be so sweet and sassy (just like the name of the image).

Here are the stuffs that I used:

Stamp: RAK image from Bec - Sweet n' Sassy by Sugar Nellie
Papers: SU! Choc Chip, Only Orange, Gable Green, Tablex white cs, Basic Grey Archaic
Accessories: Prismacolor pencils, odourless solvent, blending stumps, Cuttlebug Spots and Dots embossing folder, Martha Stewart Doily Lace punch, Kaiser pearl in chocolate, Prima flowers

The colours really looked good together. What do you think? ;)

BIZZY BECS Design Team..and a Sugar Nellie Card

Yes!!! Another blessing! I was chosen to be part of Bizzy Becs Stamps Design Team!! How's that?? Bizzy Becs is an Australian online shop and Bec, the owner is coming up with her own line of stamps. You can take a peek of the soon-to-be-available stamps on Bizzy Becs blog. They're all very cute!! I will be making my first card for Bizzy Becs soon so watch out for it.

For the meantime, I have another card to share with you. This is Reflective by Sugar Nellie which I took the colours from SCS CC200 colour combo challenge (Garden Green, Brilliant Blue and Pumpkin Pie). Here's my card (sorry if the photo wasn't taken at it's best..I ran out of batt after this shot!)

Have you noticed the lovely borders? Yes, it's Martha Stewart's Doily Lace Punch. We don't have it here in Australia but a very kind-hearted lady from Splitcoaststampers (her name is Kay) bought one for me from where she is (she's in US). Thanks Kay! The border is really gorgeous IRL. Before punching my borders, I embossed my cs first with my Cuttlebug Divine Swirl embossing folder. They look good together, don't they? My Sugar Nellie is a RAK from Bec. :-)

I coloured my image using Prismacolor Pencils and odourless solvent. I actually didn't have the Prisma matched to SU! Pumpkin Pie but then I remembered I purchased a Dew Drop Pumpkin Spice inkpad from Bizzy Becs so I used that one with my blender pen. I also ran out of my Garden Green cs so I put out my Bazzills and good thing, I found one that closely matches SU! Garden Green. I sponged the edges of the image using the Pumpkin Spice ink as per my hubby's comment. :) He's my number one critic and I really love him for that.

Hope I inspired you with my 2 cards today. Thanks for always visiting and reading my blog. I can't believe I already have more than 6k hits!

Thanks everyone! May God bless you always.

Sweet n' Sassy for SC208, LSC200

Hello! How are you doing everyone?! It's been awhile since I last posted here. Well, just became quite busy with the Christmas preparation but now I'm slowly getting back on track. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas celebration with your families, friends and relatives.
I have this simple card to share with you which is patterned after the SC208 sketch challenge (and LSC200 as well) over SCS. I've been so way behind the challenges these past few weeks but at least, somehow I was able to make one even if I'm a bit late.
Did I ever tell you that my hubby's Christmas gift to me was a 72-pencils tin Prismacolor Premier?? Yes! He let me ordered it on the 17th of Dec and it arrived the next day! That fast!!! But I wasn't able to used them until I made this card. As I've said I was a bit busy with other stuffs and besides, it's just recently that I had all these wondeful pencils sharpened. here's my card where I used my Prismas along with Odourless solvent:

My image is Sweet n' Sassy by Sugar Nellie which was given to me by Bec, I think almost 2mos ago now. I just made this card very simple so that the focus would be on the image. Isn't she lovely and sweet? I also used my new Fiskars embossing border punch (all a-fleur) which look lovely on this card as well.

So, what do you think?

Thanks for looking and may you have a blessed New Year!!

Hugs to all,

CC196 Santa in Real Red & Teal...

....WITH A SAGE CHRISTMAS TREE!

Good evening from Sydney, with love! :) Here's my freshly-baked card for the CC196 over SCS. On this challenge we are to use Whisper White, Taken with Teal, Real Red (or Riding Hood) and Sage Shadow (or Baja Breeze).

I coloured my Sugar Nellie stamp (thanks Bec! this is a RAK from her) with Aquarelle and blender pen. Whew! I really thought I wouldn't be able to finish colouring the image as my blender pen is running out. Well, it ran out soon as I finished the card that's why I used my Copics and Bic Mark-It to colour other areas.

The snowflakes background was stamped with Versamark. Yay! My first time to use this wonderful watermark pad and I feel like I'm going to use it more often. So, yeah as you can see, this is just a very simple card. I finished it off by using Icicle stickles for "snow effect" (I actually did some sponging for some snow scene using my Versacube) and put those itty bitty teal rhinestones on the 4 corners of my image. I also used my Fiskars Lace border punch once again and it really looks elegant. :)
This is all for now. More post later.
God bless you!
hugs,
