Happy Valentine's Day!

Hello everyone! Happy Valentine's Day to all of you! I was thinking of making a V'day card for my DH yesterday as I've been feeling a bit guilty knowing I make cards for the challenges, for the stamp companies where I'm a DT/GDT and yet I don't have anything for him! Plus the fact that I've been asking him to send the cards through the post for some of our friends and yet I don't have anything to hand him.

So, yesterday during my me time, while the kids are away for school/childcare and he's at work, I decided to make a special card for him. Once I'm done with the colour combo that I want, I easily managed to finish the card.

To those who do not know, "brown" is my favourite colour that's why of all SU! cs that I have, Choc Chip has the most stock! :) I stamped my image onto Soft Sky using Versamark and Choc Chip then heat-embossed it in clear embossing powder. The sentiment was computer-generated which was printed onto the Soft Sky with a brown computer ink to match the Choc Chip. The Choc Chip ribbon was given to me by a very sweet and kind SU! demo (Jesse) with whom I always make my SU! orders. Thanks Jesse! She sent me a couple of ribbons, and this one's included there.
So, last night when we got home after our Bible study, I waited for the clock to strike 12 and then handed this to him. He displayed the sweetest Valentine smile on his face as he thanked and kissed me and greeted me back! He really is a gift from God and I'm so blessed to have him.
The kids and I are so much blessed!
I guess this is all for now. Have to prepare lunch and make some cards afterwards. :) Spread the love today and greet all your loved ones a Happy Valentine's Day!
God bless us all!
hugs,

Hippy Girl Jewels for SC215!

Isn't this girl gorgeous?? Yes, she's Hippy Girl Jewels and she's one of the latest stamps in town from Bizzy Becs Stamps. She looks so sweet and I really enjoyed colouring her!

I used the sketch for this week {SC215} over SCs for this card. I paper-pieced her pants with a Heidi Grace dp (nice polka dots there!) and coloured the rest of her with Prismacolor pencils. I embossed the background and the right panel with Swiss Dots and Bloom Dots embossing folder. I used these folders to complement the dots on her pants as well as her choker and bracelet. :)

You will be seeing her more in my cards with the rest of these cuties. Visit Bizzy Becs to see the other stamps being offered.

Happy Stamping!

CC205 Just a Quick Post

Hi everyone! This is just a quick and short post as it's way past bed time. I already feel sooo sleepy especially that the weather here in Sydney atm is a bit cold with some showers.

Ok, let's move on to my latest card. This is for CC205 over SCS and that is to use Perfect Plum, Pink Piroutte (or Pretty in Pink) & Kiwi Kiss (or Old Olive). My SU! cs stock is really running low and upon seeing the Color Combo challenge for today, I was worried that I couldn't play as I know I ran out of Old Olive already. Well, I took out all my scraps and digged dipper onto my stash until I see this piece of Old Olive good enough to be used on a card. I was really careful while I'm using it as I don't have any spare just in case. So, I just embossed it in Swiss Dots, made some scores using my Scor Pal, stamped my sentiment on it and heat-embossed afterwards and adhered it to my Perfect Plum base. To finish it off, I die cut Daisy Heads flowers alternating Perfect Plum and Pretty in Pink for an effect.

Here it is:

Hope you like this card and thanks so much for visiting my blog.

Night everyone!! :)

New Blog Background and a Valentine's Card

Hello blogging community! I've been browsing for a new blog background and I ended up with something much similar to my previous background - only this time it has a touch of green on it. But I like it! How about you? ;)

Well, after finishing my card for FS105, while I'm sorting out and cleaning up my stuffs, I saw this left-over dp by Heidi Grace and a pink cardstock with a size good enough to make a card. So, without wasting any time, I whipped up a Valentine's card, stamped and heat-embossed my sentiment (see? I told you, I'll be using this gun more often now, lol!). Cuttlebugged the pink panel and put them altogether! I finished it off by putting dots all over the black cs using my white gel pen. And here's my finished product:

A very simple Valentine's card. I'll be sending this to a friend this week hoping it would reach her before Valentine's day. This is actually a small card measuring 5" x 4.125", but still I managed to make a mini lay-out/sketch for this. lol! I just realized that black and pink look good together. Well, it was actually my husband who made me realize that because he's the one who took notice of it. My hubby is my number one critic and I appreciate it 'coz it gives me that little push to go out of my comfort zone and to improve my cardmaking skills. :)
I feel like making another card before I go to sleep but..hmmm, well...let's just wait and see.
Thanks for reading my blog and for following it. It means a lot to me and it helps knowing I somehow inspired you in my own little way.
Happy stamping!
Me,

{BELIEVE} - Featured Stamper 105, BVC09

Hello! Yeah, I know I said last night that I'll be posting more the same night but what can I do? My feet just dragged me into bed, lol! At least, I was able to get that much-needed sleep and now I'm a bit recharged! :)

Today's SCS Featured Stamper is K Dunbrook. Just look at her gallery and you'll witness how gorgeous her cards are. She's got heaps of beautiful cards and I opted to CASE her "Much Thanks" card which you can see here.

And now, let me show you my card:

I changed the dp, the colours of the cs (but it seems our browns look the same) and the lay-out (as I normally do when CASing). Since I don't have a sewing machine, I did a faux stitching just to have the stitched effect that she has on her card. Does it look nice? This is my first card to with faux stitching, I hope it looks okay though.

And would you believe that it's my first time to use and hold a heat gun? Hehehe! Yeah, very funny! I know I'm a stamper but a low-profile one without too much gadgets. lol! I just had this heat gun a week ago (hubby bought it for me. how sweet is that?) and I bought an embossing powder at Spotlight last week as well. Upon seeing the card that I wanted to CASE and saw the embossed flower, I was then forced to use the heat gun for the very first time. I was a bit scared and nervous as I don't know if the embossing will turn out the way it's supposed to be but I was able to conquer it and was so happy with the end-result. lol!! Hey, be happy for me as well! Welcome me to the heat-gun world! I guess, I'll be embossing more in the future. (*wink*).

For reference, here are the stuffs that I used: (sorry if I'm not consistent with this in every post that I make...I'd better remind myself of that)

Stamp/s: Pansy by Autumn Leaves; Papers: Tablex white cs, brown cs (unknown), Heidi Grace dp; Accesories: Nestabilities, piercing mat pack, embossing powder, heat gun, dew drops, black gel pen, pop dots

Okay, I guess this is enough for now. My hubby and I, along with the kids are supposed to do some "walking" in the park but looks like it will rain anytime now, so I guess we have to cancel it. But I thank God that we have a sudden change in the weather and hopefully this will stay for more days so as to stop the bushfires that's going on around the state of Victoria. Please continue to pray for us as we currently experience this natural disaster. Saying a prayer and believing it will come to pass can make a difference. That's why in my sentiment it says:

Whatever you ask for in prayer,
BELIEVE that you have received it,
and it will be yours. (Mark 11:24 NIV)

and I say AMEN to that!

Be safe and have a blessed day! Thanks for visiting!

ANNIVERSARY CARD {WT204 & LSC206}

Happy Sunday fellow bloggers, stampers and readers! I've been reminded from our Sunday Church Service awhile ago that whatever circumstances we are in at any given time, we must give thanks to God! Amen! That is so encouraging and we prayed for those who were hit by the bushfire disaster in Victoria. As for those who aren't in Australia, we are currently experiencing extreme hot weather here and other states were reaching as high as 48 degrees Centigrade (118.4 Fahrenheit) just imagine how hot it is!!! That's why there are bushfires happening around and it's really sad knowing people losing homes and lives. Please keep us in your prayers as we experience this natural disaster.

Anyway, here's my simple card for the Ways to Use It (WT204 Embellishment Pile-up) and Limited Supply (LSC206 Say What You Feel) challenges over SCS. I've started this card two days ago and got stucked up with the 3rd colour to combine with Going Gray and Rose Red. I want something that will catch the attention of those who will see it and so after a lot of trial and error, I finally chose Cameo Coral which was a stand-out colour on this card. It's an anniversary card for our churchmate and I gave it to them this afternoon.

I have the SU! Neutral cs and thought of ways on how to use them with other colours. I want something that isn't a usual combo so I came up with this 3 colours: Going Gray, Rose Red and Cameo Coral. I embossed the Rose Red cs in Cuttlebug Textile embossing folder and so is the Going Gray cs where the sentiment was stamped on. I embossed it separately but made sure that it will be embossed on the area where I will place it on top of the Rose Red cs. You can easily know if you've embossed it right when you put it on top of the embossed cs it will perfectly fit like a puzzle! (iykwim) I hope I'm making sense here. lol!

I really like my Daisy Heads Shapeabilities Collection (Spellbinders) and I sure can use it a lot of times and combine lots of colours to create the flower. I bet this is one of my best buys from BizzyBecs.

Okay, have to prepare dinner for the family. Will post more later once I'm done with my pending cards on my work table. lol! Oh, BTW --- my Guest Designer stint at InStyle Stamps was extended for 2 more months!! Yay! I'm glad that the kind owner of ISS, Virginia believes in my creativity. (thanks so much Virginia) Keep on checking back, who knows that in my future posts, I will tell you that I'm already a part of their Design Team! That would really be a big YAY for me! :) Well, if God will take me to it, so be it! :)

More posts later. Thanks for visiting!
