SC282 Sugarplums!

Yay! This is my first ever Sugarplums and she's called Cherry Emma and she's also one of the 4 Sugarplums stamps that I bought from Bizzy Becs (and the first one to be inked up)!  Isn't she cute just sitting on the swing? :)  I coloured her last night and decided to use her onto the card this morning.  I used the sketch provided by Rox at this week's SC282 over Splitcoaststampers.

The dp is from my stash and so are the green and red cardstocks.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts (Cupcake set) and the flower is from Magnolia Summer Kit.  The flower was stamped twice and I used pop dots for dimension.  I took a closer shot of the flower for you to see it.

The white panel which was cut with Labels Eight was from my stash along with the dp. I wanted to use it  so I called  my Stamp A Majig to the rescue (LOL!) to position the swing.  I don't normally use a cut paper or cardstock then do the stamping, it's always the other way around.  But I was challenged and remembered that I have my Stamp A Majig so, why not? ;)  It was a success though. LOL! (but I will still definitely stamp first then cut on my future projects unless the situation calls for it like this one). I also did some sponging for cloud effect using a sponge dauber, an oval scalloped cut cs and my Broken China Distress ink (Tim Holtz). All images were coloured with Copics.  I used my paper piercing mat pack to adorn the sides of the white panel so it won't look so bare and finished the card off with some Kaiser pearls (green).

Thank you so much for visiting and I just want you to know that I really had fun making this card!

God bless!

Feather Blending Challenge over Mad for Markers

And this is my first on this challenge! LOL! Well, I've practiced and wasted a few stamped images before I got satisfied with the outcome.  Hmm, I don't know if I did it right, LOL! but hopefully, one day I'll get there. So that means more practice for me. :)  If you wanna know more about this challenge, head on to Mad for Markers blog.

This Tilda was a RAK stamped image from my friend Jackie. (waving at you, Jack!)  I've coloured her with the ff Copic markers:

skin- E00, E02, E11
hair- E25, E29
clothes/wings (for the blending) - R00, R02, B00 B02

I haven't been colouring any Tilda lately that's why I once again felt like a first-timer with Copics while I'm colouring her. The wings (and petticoat) were embellished with Martha Stewart Crystal Fine glitter and finished off the card with this Aqua satin ribbon made with Bow Easy and 3 small Kaiser pearls.

Tilda's white background was sponged a bit with Tim Holtz Broken China Distress Ink and embossed with Fiskars Hearts Texture plates. The dp is from DCWV floral stack.

Thank you for looking and I'll see you next post!

God bless!
