ANGLED INTEREST {WT265}

Happy Saturday everyone! This card that I'm going to share with you today is my take for this week's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE {WT265} over SCS and it's about putting something on an angle on your card. In my case, I put my ribbon and the main panel with Tilda on angle.

Tilda here is one of the lovely images stamped and sent to me by sweet Jackie! Thanks so much Jackie, I really, really appreciate it! God bless you. This lady really makes gorgeous cards and she colours very well using Copics. So, when you get the chance, visit her blog and see for yourself. :) On this card, Tilda was coloured with Prismacolor pencils using odourless solvent. I've just noticed that I haven't been using my Prismas so, I searched for some Prismacolor tutorials just to give me a boost to start using them again. :) I liked how it turned out though.

The dp is from Basic Grey Lilykate. The background was cut using Labels Eight then sponged with SU! Ballet Blue and Versacolor Baby Blue. The sentiment is stamped and sponged with Ballet Blue as well and matted onto Ballet Blue cs using my Martha Stewart Scalloped Circle punch. Finished off the card with a bow and my almost forgotten dew drops. LOL! Oh, and btw, I also used my new Stickles Yellow to accent Tilda's clothes. Perfect match!

Thanks for looking and may you have a blessed day!
See you on my next post. :)

SIMPLE HELLO

Hello everyone! I coloured in again one of the Gorjuss Girls image that I received as a RAK and made a simple hello card for a friend. The image was coloured with Copics and fortunately, I still was able to use my E00! :) The background was embossed with Fiskars texture plates and I did some faux stitching on the left and right side. I also punched the blue cs mat with Fiskars Threading Water punch and the flowers were embellished with Star Dust Stickles that I recently bought from our LSS. The sentiment is a dollar stamp I got from a Craft Show.

Thanks for looking as always! God bless us all.

CAS61 - Sentiments

Happy Tuesday everyone! After taking a shower and while waiting for my hair to dry, I whipped up this card for this week's CAS61 challenge. The only stamping to be done on the card is a sentiment and nothing else. So, I just stamped this verse from Clearly Wordsworth Friends set, cut it with Labels Four, did some sponging while still in the die and added 2 Hydrangeas flower for my embellishments. That's it! Clean and simple!

Thanks so much for the visit and hope to see you again next post!
Good night from Sydney, Australia. God bless us all!

{FS165} CASEing Theresa

Yay! I finally got to play with this week's Featured Stamper over SCS and the honour goes to TheresaCC!! Wohoo!! Congratulations girl, you deserve it! Theresa's cards are all really gorgeous, in fact, she's one of my favourite artists/stamper as she always use my favourite technique which is -- sponging!!

I chose her Treasured Memory card to CASE. I sticked with the lay-out but replaced the focal point (she used a sentiment) with an image of flowers. I coloured my image with Copics, I did some cutting and popped up two of the flowers for dimension. I also used butterflies but only put two and replaced paper piercing with pearls. I used a different colour of paper and inks but of course I did sponging!!!

Here's a closer shot:

And another one:

Thanks so much for visiting and hope you had a lovely Easter!
Have a blessed day!
It's me,
Jhet

Thank You (Tilda in Orange)

I know it's already 1am here in Australia and I'm still up! I still couldn't sleep so I whipped up a card for this week's Magnolia Down Under Challenge # 40 and the theme is "Thank You".
I always see Tilda in pinks or purples but seldom in other colours (like orange) so I coloured her differently this time. The image is a RAK I received last year (thank God for online buddies who offered to stamp Magnolia images to those who don't have too much stamps like me!). I believe this one came from Bec (thanks Bec!). I coloured Tilda mostly with Sugarloaf markers but I used Copics on her hair and face. Unfortunately, I'm already running out of E00 (as I always use it to colour her skin) so I used the R00 instead. Looks good though as she looks kinda pinkish but I need to order a refill or a new E00 as I can't afford not to have it for a long period of time. Gotta tell Sammi ASAP! LOL!

I just made this card simple using only satin ribbon and chocolate pearls as embellishments. The sentiment is AmyR Friend sentiments by CC Designs. I used my Stamp a Majig for that and sponged a soft Versacolor Narcissus around it while still inside the Oval Nesties die. I also punched the white mat with my Fiskars Threading Water punch. The dp is from DCWV Floral Prints stack.

I'm also entering this card for Stampin' for the Weekend and it's about Ribbons and Bows! It's my first time to join their challenge.

Thanks for looking and I'll be sleeping now. Looking forward for this morning as it's my hubby's off and he told me that we'll be driving around with the kids. Wohoo!

God bless us all!

Hugs,

Jhet
