These are the cards that I was able to finish yesterday (yes! 4 cards in a day yay!)
I called this card Ephesians 5:20 (based on the image & sentiment). I so like this card because IRL it's really cool to the sight, very fresh-looking. And the butterfly is really shimmering with Copic spica glitter pen. (can't see it on the photo though) I coloured the image with my new Aquarell watercolour pencils.
This one is for my swap partner on Bubhub (parenting site). I was the one who gave the theme (which is either female birthday or wedding anniversary) and the color combo of pink & brown. This is the first time I used my Aquarell watercolour pencils (by Staedler). I bought the 36pcs/pack and I really like them because their shades and colours are more subtle than my other watercolour pencils. Plus, their shades are a bit closer to what I already have so blending will be easier. The image is also glittered with Copic spica (again, you can't tell from the photo).
My ALL BLUE Christmas card. There's no stamping done here. Just cuttlebug dry embossing, punched the corners with my concave corner punch, adorned it with ribbon and 4 blue rhinestones on each corner. The easiest and fastest way to whip a card. ;) Embossing looks good on metallic cardstocks --- try it!
And the last one here is a very, very simple card which I made for a guy (Russell) who goes in our place for a short bible study and sharing. This is actually in honour of Ministry Appreciation Month (October). Darling hubby asked me if I could make a card for Russell and I told him I already have one ready but for the life of me I wasn't able to locate where it was! So, I hurriedly whip up a card for him and here's the end-result. LOL! Fresh from the oven as I told my hubby. :)
I will be making more cards today as I'm in the mood for it. :) Btw, Peggy I already received the Peggy's Pretties and your wonderful card. Thanks heaps!! I also received the blog candy I won from Camilla which is a Whiff of Joy stamp (yay! my first WOJ!). Thanks Camilla! It came unmounted (red rubber), I just don't know how to adhere it on my acrylic block :( Anyone?
Will post the pics of these things later when I get the chance. It's currently cold and raining here in Sydney and for sure I will struggle to not to go back to bed or start with the chores and then do my stamping. We'll see.
Have a blessed day everyone!
Hey Jhet, awesome cards!! Looks like you've been card crazy. I use my rubber only stamps with either dotto or just double sided tape onto an acrylic block. You don't have to use too much. Talk to you later.
