Gate Fold Card {My First!}

Happy Wednesday everyone!! It's been 5 days since I last posted here..how's everything's going? We've been busy these past few days. Last Saturday we went to a friend's house to catch up on each other as it's been 5 months since we've last seen each other. Then Sunday came, my BIL from New Zealand arrived for a 5-day training here in Sydney. Sunday was his only free day so we took the opportunity to show him around the city. We brought him to the famous Sydney Oper House and Harbour Bridge. We took heaps of pictures that time! Then Monday is Jhetro's 5th birthday! (my DS2) We didn't have a party but I cooked spaghetti and bought 2 medium cakes (yes, two! LOL!) and invited just a few family friends. So, yeah, I've been BUSY indeed! Oh, I forgot to add that I went to the doctor last Monday as well because I had an upper right quadrant stomach pain last Saturday night that lasted for 4 hrs!!! I was referred for a blood test to check on my liver. I got the result this afternoon and thank God, it's normal. The doctor just told me to that it may be a case of a "wind" and advised me to eat more fibers. :)

Ooppsss....on with the card, now. LOL! Sorry, I've been blabbing a lot. :) This card was actually a Gate Fold Card (which is my first) and I whipped it up this afternoon (before going to the doctor) for a friend's birthday. Here it is...my first try...

I was actually about to do the Tri-Fold Shutter card but for the life of me I just couldn't find my metal ruler! I need it as I have to do some cutting using crafter's knife. Anyway, I stamped the Upsy Daisy image onto Sahara Sand with Versafine and heat-embossed it with clear ep.

Here's a close up..

To keep the card closed, I stamped another image (from Clear Dollar Stamps), cut it with my circle Nesties and adhered it just a bit close to the main image.
I hope my friend will somehow like this (well, she has to! LOL!) Thanks for visiting and I'll see you again next post.
Take care y'all! God bless.
