Pam and Buster {Best Friends}

Howdy fellow stampers and bloggers! I'm here once again with another card to share. And yeah, I'm getting back on track...slowly. And I just hope I will be in high gear (like I used to) in no time. :)

This card features Pam and Buster from InStyle Stamps. I paper-pieced Pam using Heidi Grace dp which I also used on my panel and coloured the rest of her with my Prismacolor pencils. And oh, I also paper-pieced Buster's shirt. lol! And since Pam's dress has polka dots, I decided to make the dots myself for Buster's with my Sakura gel pen. How do you like it?

I also made a little scene on this card. I sponged SU! Soft Sky to make the sky and a bit of Versacolor sponging between sky and the ground. The sentiment used is from Studio G. Here's another shot...just slightly different angle than the first one.

They really look like BFF with their clothes and "cool smiles". lol! My colour combo for this one is Wild Wasabi and Groovy Guava. I really like the outcome as it looks so soft to the sight.

Visit the ISS blog for the sneak peaks and the ISS shop to buy these gorgeous stamps and digi downloads. ;)

Have a blessed day. Happy stamping!!

Magnolia Down Under Challenge

Good Morning from the Land Down Under!! Yes, after 5days of absence in the blogging world, I'm here once again sharing with you a card that I've just finished a few minutes ago. I'm so glad I was able to start making a card again and honestly speaking, I found it a bit hard at first as I have to keep the creativity juice flowing after not doing anything for a couple of days.

Anyway, there's a new challenge in town and it's the Magnolia Down Under Challenges! I felt so excited upon knowing about this challenge as I'm from the land Down Under as well (Australia). This is Challenge #1 & for this challenge we were asked for 3 things..

- there must be something RED
- you have to use Tilda (not Edwin)
- and the theme must be Autumn

And here's my card for this...

This particular Tilda image was just given to me as RAK from Debbie (of scrapbook.com). The papers used were also RAK from one of my SBS sisters' Kathy! She gave these to me last year and it's only now that I was able to use it. I coloured Tilda with Prismacolor pencils, gettingas close as possible to the colours of the dp. I embossed my Pumpkin Pie cs with Cuttlebug Argyle embossing folder and matted it onto a Choc Chip cs. I finished the card off with Prima flowers, a brad and red buttons.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog once again and I will try my very best to post more often and be productive the way I used to. :)

Have a blessed day and I'll see you on my next post.

Updates and a Card

Hi everyone! I missed you and the blogging world lately! :) Just g ive you a bit of an update, I've been having migraines for a few days now and only got better yesterday. The change of weather here in Sydney triggered that and when it hits me, my productivity mode is at its lowest. :( Plus the fact that we're also a bit busy with our kids's school stuffs and all, so yeah, I hope you understand about not posting regularly. Once things run smoothly, I will be posting more often. :)

Anyways, I've actually done 2 cards but wasn't able to take photo of the other card. Our Pastor's daughter requested me to make her a birthday card for her friend. It was just a quick and easy card and handed it over to her last night. Only to realised when we got home that I haven't even taken a photo of it!!! Grrrrr!!

Here's the other card that I was able to finish this week (see how I struggled to make cards because of my migraine -- only 2 for this week?!)

I bet you've seen her before on my previous post. :) This one is for InStyle Stamps' DT call. I coloured SuzieQ with my favourite medium, Prismacolor pencils! I also did some sponging around the image and with the sentiment cs. This is the first time I used my Basic Grey Bittersweet paper pad! They are so yummmyyyy I tell you! I really like the combination of browns and pinks so this one's for me. :) I finished off the card by putting a ribbon and a big button and dew drops as well.
InStyle Stamps will be starting sneak peeks this Sunday so don't forget to visit the ISS blog so you can be one of the "first few" to see them!
Tomorrow we will be celebrating the 7th year anniversary of our church. I'm part of the Music Ministry (as I've mentioned before) so last night we had a short practice for our praise and worship. This will be very exciting as we invited some guests/ friends to celebrate with us. May God continue to bless our church with more fruitful years in the future.
I will be posting more in the next few days and I really have to do a lot of catching up! Thanks for visiting my blog. :)
Have a blessed day!

TIME TO PARTY WITH ROXY! {TLC209}

Howdy everyone?!! I've been having migraine attacks the last 2days and it's ohhhh so debilitating! I wanna do a lot of things but I just can't 'coz it won't give me a chance to focus on anything....it's really painful. :(

Anyways, this afternoon when I saw the TLC post for this week, I kinda feel challenged. I was having a migraine but I was able to join this "rubber bands stamping" technique. I was so excited that I forgot I was having migraine, lol! I used my untouched "Versafine Spanish Moss" ink with the rubber bands and heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder. I then sponged different colours here and there (I used Versacolor Bisque, SU! Regal Rose & Soft Sky). I stamped the sentiment on Whisper White but found it too plain without anything on it so I decided to use the same technique that I did with the background.

And what image is more fitting on this one?? Yeah, it's Roxy from InStyle Stamps! I stamped Roxy on Whisper White using Versafine Onyx Black and embossed her in clear ep. I coloured her with my Bic Mark-It! markers (I'm revisiting my other colouring mediums, lol!) and Copic Markers as well.

I cut Roxy out and boy, I had a hard time cutting the inside area of her arms. I used a pair of scissors for the outer part and crafter's knife for her arms. Did I do well on cutting those intricate parts? lol! I then used pop dots to give her dimension and that's it!
Here's my finished card:

Try this rubber bands technique and I'm sure you'll have fun in the process! Until next post.

May God bless us all!

Hugs,

Celebrate with Riley!

Happy Friday everyone! Hope you're all doing very well. I haven't got the chance to make a card during daytime yesterday eventhough t'was my ME day. Instead, I finished some chores and I went out to buy something from the shop. Hubby actually asked me to make a birthday card for his workmate, Len to hand it out to him on Friday (today). Well, of course I said yes. But to tell you honestly, I really struggle when it comes to masculine cards. That's why, I have finished this card at 2am because I took advantage of the peace and quiet of the wee hours so I can make my creative juice flowing for this one. lol! Another thing is, I don't have that much stamps. moreso, I don't have any stamp that can be used for male cards. So, I reviewed all stamped images that were given to me as RAK and my eyes lit up upon seeing this Riley Tractor (or Farmer Riley) given to me by my SBS sister, Kathy.

Here's my finished card:

I never knew that I have this dp all along together with those not-commonly-used dp's of mine. And I thought it would perfectly fit this masculine card so I used it with Green Galore, Choc Chip and an unknown yellow cs. I did some paper piercing here which I rarely do but what's the easiest embellishment can I use for a male card other than piercing? :) I coloured my image with Prismacolor pencils and did a bit of sponging in the sky but I guess it was too light to be seen.
DH is at work right now and most probably he's already handed it to his workmate. Hope he likes it though. Now, I'm about to make a card for someone who's leaving abroad, he's the father of one of our churchmates who's here for a 3-month visit and is due to go back to Philippines tomorrow. I'm thinking of making a card (A4 size folded in half) so there will be a space for other church members to sign.
Will post it later once I'm done with it. For the meantime...it's lunch time for me! :)
Happy stamping and have a blessed day!

{Just a Note} Mojo 74

I wasn't able to participate in last week's Mojo Monday challenge so I decided to on it this week. Upon seeing the Mojo74 sketch, I already knew what image to use. I received this cute stamped image from Bec the other day together with my Labels 2 order and heaps of stamped images. Not sure if this is Sugar Nellie but I'll be asking Bec and will update you about it. Here's the sketch

And here's my card:

When I saw her polka dots hat, I suddenly remembered my Basic Grey Two Scoops pad. I knew there was something polka dots on that pad and yeah, there was! And that's what I used in this particular card for the top and bottom vertical panel. I coloured my image with Prismacolor pencils and odourless solvent. I actually sponged around the image using Versacolor Baby Blue but it was too light to be noticed. I finished it off using a Blue Bayou ribbon given to me by an SU! Demo, Jesse. This lady is so sweet, she always surprise me with something in the mail. Thanks Jesse!
Gotta do kitchen duties now, lol! At least I've done a card for today.
Thanks for looking and enjoy stamping!!! :)
ETA: The image is Postbox from Sugar Nellie :) (thanks Bec!)

Let's Get DIGITAL!

Hello fellow bloggers! It's already Feb 17th and I noticed I haven't posted for awhile. Where did those 2 days go?? Hmmm...anyways, I'm back and I'm getting digital this time. Whoa! What do I mean by that? InStyle Stamps has released *new* digital images to crave for! Like this one,hmmm..looks so yummy!

This is a basket full of muffins (or cupcakes for me!). I coloured my image again with Copic markers, cut them with Spellbinders Labels Two (yes!! I got mine yesterday! received from Bizzy Becs) and sponged around the image with Versacolor ink while it's still inside the die. I've matted the image onto Quill Manhattan cs (Orchid) and cut closely so as I can get a strong colour before matting it again on the light pink cs. The last size of the Labels Two die is quite big to mat the image closely that's why I decided to cut one myself. At least for this one. Easy peasy! :)

I used this brown cardstock (I forgot where I got this) as my base and directly stamped my sentiment with Versamark onot it then heat-embossed with pastel pink ep. Sentiment is from Hero Arts Cupcake set.

Why not visit the InStyle Stamps shoppe and find out heaps of gorgeous digital images there and at a very affordable price?! Not only that, there are also *new* releases from the Retro lines as well as the Anime stamps. What are you waiting for?

Okay I think is enough for now as hubby and I will be having a "Meet the Teacher" schedule over my DS1's school at 445 pm and after that will have my worship ministry practice at 630pm.

Thanks for always visiting my blog and for the lovely comments you give.

And to all stampers and crafters, remember:

"Creative clutter is better than idle neatness!"

God bless you!
