Summer Tilda for a Spring Card =)

Hello fellow bloggers and stampers! This card is one of those "unfinished projects" that I found on my drawer awhile ago.  Tilda was coloured with Copics, matted and was set aside for.... how long? Hmmm..can't remember anymore. LOL!  But I remember, I had fun colouring this image from the Summer Kit that I ordered last year.  Anyway, at least, I was able to use her now and it somehow fits for a Spring card, I guess, because of the flower Tilda is holding. LOL!  And this card is my entry for my cousin Joan's World Cardmaking Day Blog Candy! YAY!  Would you believe that Joan (she's SKICIO on SCS) was one of my cousins whom I've last seen when I was just, what, between 11-13 y/o?!!  We've been exchanging PM's over SCS without knowing that we're cousins. I mean, she's using her married name now and it's the same on my part so we weren't able to recognize each other straight away.  I was able to confirm that she's the Joan I've known  when I saw her on one of my Aunt's Facebook profile!!  And we were like....yeahh cuz, it's you!!!  Thank God for the technology we're having and would you believe, we're both into crafting/stamping?! =)  Yeah, it's confirmed, we really are cousins!!  And check out her blog 'coz she really makes fab cards. =)

On with my card and sorry for the quite long intro. =)  As I've said, Tilda was coloured with Copic and I used my Mega Curve Rectangles to cut her and I lightly sponged Versacolor Narcissus around her.  I then cut a bigger size of the Mega Curve Rectangles to mat her.  The dp is from Basic Grey (as far as I can remember) and I finished off the card with a button on top of the white grosgrain ribbon/bow.  I hope the photo looks clear enough -- I used my mobile camera this time as my digicam's batts went low and I forgot to recharge it. So, this one goes to the blog candy that Joan is offering. This is for week one.  Why did I say so?  Because she's offering a blog candy once a week for the whole month of October! Wow! So, what are you waiting for? Come join the fun! Visit her blog for more deets about this.

Thanks so much for looking and have a blessed day!  Until nex post!

FAUX LETTERPRESS

Happy Monday!! Today's card was made for 2 challenges over SCS.  Actually, I was just really playing for CAS87 (Faux Letterpress) and decided to split my embossed panel to give it an effect. But when I was about to upload my card, I learned that the TLC293 challenge for this week is about splitting image. Wow!  I'm happy when these things happen ---I was able to hit two challenges with just one card. :)

Anyways, I'm still struggling to make cards (yeah, until now!) and it's good that there are challenges like these to help the creative juice flowing especially when it stopped for awhile. :(  I really NEED to get back on track and start stamping as Christmas is just few months away and I already have Christmas orders.  I gotta do something to motivate me to sit, stamp and create more cards. Ahhh......help me Lord, please?

I went for green and white and a birthday card because there are lots of birthday celebrants for this month (and that includes me).  I used the Victoria embossing folder, inked it up with Memento Sprout and ran it through the Cuttlebug and voila! that's what you called Faux Letterpress. Easy peasy! The sentiment is from a set I bought from Jemac Stamps.

Btw, the first commenter on my last post who will receive some bits of small goodies from me is Divinity!! Thanks so much for being a follower of my blog and for leaving lovely comments.  I will send out your goodies this week.  I'm sorry for the delay as my plate is a bit full atm. I'll email you soon as I post it :)

Thanks for the visit

26 September 2010

Happy Sunday everyone! Wow! I'm so glad that finally, after almost a month of not creating any cards, I was able to make one today.  And not only that, I was able to enter this for this week's Free for All Challenge (F4A31) wherein you have to use "scallops".

Obviously, my scallops is the gray mat that I die-cut using my Petite Scalloped Circle (Nestabilities). Unusual colour combo, I know but these are the colours that entered my mind soon as I saw this lovely dp from Grace Taylor's Vintage Collection (bought from Big W).

This card is for our Pastor and his wife's 42nd Wedding Anniversary.  I gave them cards for 2 straight years now and I don't want to miss giving them another one this year.  I'm thankful because if it weren't for this occasion, I think my crafting stuffs will continue to gather dust. :(  I just hope the creative juice will start to flow on  a regular basis now.

The encouraging Bible scripture stamp was from Unity Stamps' Something Within set. I bought this more than a month ago, and I think I've only used 2 stamps from the set to date.  Talking about being slack.

Thanks to all my followers, for still being there despite of the fact that you don't get any notification of a recent post from me. THANKS HEAPS! And because of that, the first commenter (who is one of my followers) on this post will receive a small gift from me, a simple token to show my appreciation.

Thanks once again and may our good Lord bless us always.

Hugs,
Jhet

CAS Delicious! (Cupcake Birthday)

Hello everyone! Glad to be posting once again after few weeks.  I just couldn't believe that the card that I'm about to share with you is only my 4th for this month! :( Yikes!! What's happening with me?  I guess my mojo's really out there somewhere and will be staying long before coming back to me. :(  Anyways, I'm just glad I was able to make a card today and this one's for the CAS82 challenge over SCS wherein the theme is "Delicious".  I chose this cupcake image from Hero Arts because whenever I see one, I always go "YUM!".

The image was coloured with Copic markers and the rest of the sentiments were a combo of Imaginisce and Justrite Stampers. I embellished the image with a combination of stickles and finished it off with Chocolate pearls from Kaisercraft. This card is for my DS1's teacher who had her birthday last Sunday.  He only told me about this yesterday so this was kind of a rush.

This is it for now guys, You know, I really could use some motivation and encouragement here to get me back from stamping regularly. :(  But I guess this is just a normal phase that a stamper/crafter experiences (or is it just me?)

Thanks so much for your support and for your visits and to those who have just recently followed my blog -- THANKS VERY MUCH!

Have a blessed Tuesday!

CAS Mouse

Just want to share with you today a card that I made yesterday morning.  I didn't get the chance to post it yesterday so here it is.

Since I'm trying to win  my mojo back, I just made a clean and simple card to start off. The image was from House Mouse Christmas set and the sentiment was from Hero Arts Cupcake set.

Fairly simple, just  a punched border and some pearls to adorn the card.  The image btw, was stamped and heat-embossed with clear ep then coloured with Copic markers. I also did some soft sponging using a dauber and Versacolor Petal Pink ink.

That's all for now.  Will try to make a 2nd post later for the card that I created for SC293 over SCS.

Until then, enjoy your day!

God bless!

Gratitude

Happy Monday blogland!! Finally, I was able to play again with the CAS challenge!  Honestly, I've been struggling to make cards lately and the creative juice just don't cooperatively flow.  In other words, mojo's somewhere out there and somewhat enjoying its holiday (LOL!) but I'm really glad, I was able to make a card today.

The CAS79 challenge theme is "Gardens".  Well, when I think of a garden, the first thing that enters my mind is flower. So, I decided to make a card with a single flower (not that there's only one flower I imagined in a garden, LOL!). This is pretty simple as the only stamping done was for the sentiment and for the flower stem.  The felt flowers were die-cut using Spellbinders Daisy Heads. Sentiment was stamped using the ever-trusted "Stamp a Majig" when it comes to stamp positioning.

Okidoki, that's it for today and hopefully the mojo will start to kick in as I'm back to the stamping seat again. :)

God bless you!

I'M STILL HERE!!

Hello to my fellow bloggers, stampers and blog followers! How are you all doing? I'm just posting to let you know that I'm still here although not that much active with crafting lately. Talking about being slack! :( I dunno, maybe I was just having those days where one's mojo isn't really working or is wandering somewhere else.  Have you ever experienced that?? Tell me I'm not alone, pls?

Anyways, somehow I was able to make a single card (yes, just a single card in my 3wks or so of absence). This was for the FS181 in honour of ravengirl over SCS.  I chose to case her generational card and changed some of it while sticking to the lay out.

Once again I apologize for my absence.  I was about to make a card today but I caught a flu early in the morning so, yeah, I guess I'd better put it off after a day or two.

Thanks so much for the visit and I'll see you in my next post -- SOON!! :)

Have a blessed day!
