Bright and Cheery Happy Birthday card

Happy New Year and Happy February everyone!  I know my last post has been almost 9 months ago and I feel so guilty for somehow neglecting this craft blog of mine knowing I have followers like you who like to see what's new in my blogging world.  I have to be honest that I've been so slack in creating cards for 9 months (almost, lol!) but I feel so blessed in many ways as I've come to know our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ more and hearing from Him and obeying what He's telling me to do. And one of those was when we went home to Philippines for 3 weeks last Sept-Oct 2013.  We went home for the purpose of sharing God's word and the wonderful things that He's done and doing in my life and my family's as well! So yeah, even if I wasn't productive on the craft side, I could say, I've been productive in harvesting souls for God's Kingdom during my absence. And I give God all the glory for it!

Moving on to my card, good thing I still know how to use the Copic markers. LOL! Here's a previously stamped Tilda (I've received during one of my RAKs before) which I used for a birthday card.  Isn't she gorgeous!

Here's a closer shot:

I used my Samsung Galaxy S3 in taking these photos. I hope they look good on your screen though. :)

Until next post. God bless us all!

BABY, BABY!

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you're having a lovely day at your side of the world.  We're currently having a sunny but cold 18 degrees weather at the moment and I've just finished doing my laundry so, here I am now, posting the cards that I've made for my friends who gave birth recently.

It's been months since I've made a card that's why I really made an effort to make my creative juices flow again by making these cute baby cards.  I finally was able to use the  onesie die from MFT and the baby specialty designer paper from DCWV.  I really enjoyed making these cards! Who wouldn't?

Thanks for looking and hope to see you visit again on my next post.

God bless us all!

VINTAGE BIRTHDAY

HAPPY WEDNESDAY EVERYONE! Yay! It feels good to be posting/blogging again.  I'm sorry for my very long absence.  I really had lots of things to attend to and creating cards is just on the bottom of my list. Sometimes there are things that really needed much attention.  But I'm happy that once in a while I can still create. Like this one.

This is also a late post as I've made this card last month.  A young man from our church youth asked me to make a card for her sister's 16th birthday.  He told me that the theme is "vintage" and so I came up with this.

I want it to be really personal so I looked up for her photo on our gallery (pc) and found this photo of her with another churchmate of ours.  I just then decided to crop it, edited it to make it vintage-looking and did some inking on the photo itself until I got my desired vintage look.

I used a paper from my K&Company pad, Bazzil cs, Spellbinder dies, Justrite Stampers font, flowers and pearls!  I'm happy it looked vintage! :)

Thanks for looking and enjoy the rest of your day.

God bless!

BABY DRESS CARD

Good afternoon from Sydney, Australia! Hope all is well at your side of the world.  Just want to share with you a baby dress card that I made last weekend for a christening ---- my FIRST!

I really had a blast creating this cute dress. Since my kids are all boys, I got so really excited with this! I got the template from Tempting Templates, printed it, traced it and cut it using a pair of scissors.   I used a vellum on top of the Basic Grey dp to mimic a lace/tulle overlay. Then I decided to add glitters on the sleeves and onto the vellum.

I didn't do any stamping here except for the name of the baby wherein I used my Justrite Stampers font.

Thanks so much for looking and God bless us all!

SWEETS FOR THE SWEET

Hi everyone! Just a short post to share with you the latest card that I made.  This is for Splitcoaststampers' CAS185 challenge: Summer Treat!

As I've mentioned before, I recently organized and cleaned-up my craft area. Hence in this card, I used the scraps/off cuts that I found from my stash.

CAS185 Summer Treat
The image is from Hero Arts Cupcake stamp set, stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with Copic markers.  The dp's are from DCWV and K&Company. I used Martha Stewart Crystal Fine Glitter to create a sugary look on the cucpcake. Yum! So sweet!

Thanks for looking and have a blessed day!

A CAS CHRISTMAS

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Wow! It's been 5 months and a day since I last posted here! I can't believe it!  I've been off the blogland that long?  Well, I don't really know what happened! LOL! It's just that I felt I didn't have the energy and the inspiration to create a card.  My mojo went away and didn't come back for months.  My craft area is inside my son's room and for the past 5 months, I didn't touch anything there.  My table was so messy and was made as a temporary area for our folded clothes and other stuffs.  I still did online shopping for crafting supplies (thinking it would somehow kickstart my mojo), but when my orders arrived, still I didn't have the urge to create. :(  Not until yesterday when I decided to do some cleaning and de-cluttering on my craft area and while doing so, I realized how much I've neglected my "hobby".  So after cleaning the mess and organizing stuffs, I decided to create a card.

At first I didn't care about the theme of the card that I was about to make. All I wanted was to make a card. Period.  But while I was organizing my new supplies, I saw this stamp set given to my by my cousin Joan from USA.  I thought, well, I might as well start with a simple card and the best way to do it is to make a CAS card. No layering, not too much embellishments ---- just white on white. And this CAS Christmas card was created. :)

Btw, the stamp set is called Cool Christmas by Inkadinkado.

Thank you so much for reading my post and to all my followers who sticked with me (and my blog) regardless of my long absence ---- THANKS HEAPS!

Have a blessed day!

Another Baby Card

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Here's another baby card that I made. My image this time is a pair of booties but from the same stamp set "Baby Bundle" by Clear Dollar Stamps.  The dp that I used here is from DCWV Nana's Nursery Baby Girl.

I stamped the booties twice then cut the 2nd one and adhered it with pop dots for dimension.  I decided not to stamp a sentiment anymore since the dp is full of words for a baby. :)

Here's another shot:

This is just pretty simple but I like its vibrant colour! I finished it off with a satin polka dot ribbon.

Thanks for looking and have a lovely day!

God bless.

IT'S MY BLOGOVERSARY IN 10 DAYS!

Wow! I just couldn't believe it that in 10 days time I will be celebrating my blogoversary! Which also means that I will be turning 4 years in the blogland! Yay! Praise God for this wonderful blessing! Although I admit I have been so slack in postings the past couple of months due to being busy around the house (cause I still believe that family comes first!) :) I'm still thankful that YOU, my dear followers, never get tired of visiting my blog and following me and leaving me inspiring comments. Actually, even if I don't get comments on my cards or postings, I'm still happy because I was able to share things that I enjoyed creating --- my cards!

The mere fact that my counter gets a bigger number each time only means that someone's taking time to visit my blog either by chance or by searching for something via Google, it doesn't matter really. I'm happy to know that someone spends time looking at my cards or projects and find inspiration from them. Thanks very much!

To all my followers and visitors, thank you very, very much! And as my way of saying thank you, I will come up with a BLOGOVERSARY CANDY as a small treat! Stay tuned for it.

Thanks once again and may God bless us all!

BABY, BABY!

Happy Tuesday everyone!  I hope you're having a productive day on your side of the world. :)  Just want to share with you a card (and another card) which I made for a friend who will be attending a baby shower this weekend.  I haven't done any baby shower card so this one's all new to me ---- it's my first! :)

I'm so happy how it turned out.  I find it soooo cute with it's colours and the clothespin.  The onesies is from Baby Bundle set by Clear Dollar stamps which I purchased more than a year ago and was only inked with this project.  I didn't have any idea that it will come out this gorgeous. (Yay for me! LOL!)  The clothespin/pegs are from a dollar shop near our place which I also bought months and months ago and was only used on this project.  I made the sentiment myself using Justrite Stampers Times New Roman Lowercase Font.  Inked it with Memento Tuxedo Black and stamped it onto a white cs and embossed the sentiment panel with Cuttlebug embossing folder. (I forgot how it's called but it's for embossing borders)
Here's aother shot:

My friend doesn't know the gender of her cousin's baby so I decided to use colours that's neutral for a baby boy or a baby girl.  The dp that I used is from DCWV Nana's Nursery (Boys).

Here's a closer shot:

And since the "baby stuffs" (dp's, stamps etc) were already on my table and I was on a "baby cards" mode, I decided to create another one.  This time, I didn't used clothespin and I only used 2 colours and a combination of a plaid and polka dots dp!  The images and sentiments were all from Baby Bundle set (by Clear Dollar Stamps).

Thanks for the visit and I hope you like what I've shared today!

God bless us all!

Great Is God's Faithfulness

Happy Monday everyone! After more than a month, I was finally able to sit on my craft table and created a card!! My craft area is still a bit of a mess but I'm happy I managed to make a card while my boys are in school (and hubby's at work). :)

The dp that I used is from K&Company Charlotte. Saw it while I'm tidying up my area and decided to use it in this card. The stamp is from ODBD, sponged with Memento Tuxedo Black, die cut using Spellbinders Labels Eighteen and sponged the background using Memento Dew Drop (while still inside the die). The flowers are from Prima and they are more purple IRL than in this photo (they complement the sponged background, actually).

Thanks for following my blog and for visiting as always!
Praise God for His faithfulness! God bless us all.

ALTERED BINDER CLIPS

Happy Saturday!  Today I  want to share with you an altered project which I finished last week.  These are binder clips to be used as place card holders for my churchmate's wedding next month.  The clips were covered with printed paper (Heidi Grace Vintage papers) and embellished with a single paper rose in their colour -- Midnight Blue.

Originally, I was planning to use a petal flower with a pearl at the center but then I had a hard time finding a 2.5mm flowers in Midnight Blue. So I decided to just use paper roses in Midnight Blue.  The beautiful paper roses which is 15mm in size were from Enthaily Australia.  They carry different colours and sizes of paper roses and other flowers and craft supplies, too. Plus their postage is very reasonable. I'm not in any way associated with them, I'm just one of their happy and satisifed customers that's why! :)

Thanks for looking and have a blessed day!

SHOP Page

Hi everyone! Happy Monday! I haven't been stamping and crafting lately but will do as soon as I finished organising my stuffs in my craft area. :)

Just a quick note, though. I've created a SHOP PAGE here on my blog and will be putting there some bits and bobs of cardmaking supplies. Some are new, some are used but in very good condition, some others are just doubled stuffs that I ordered and some are being sold in order to give way for my future hoardings. LOL!

Please keep visiting as I might upload them either today or tomorrow.

Thanks and God bless us all!

ALTERED NOTEBOOKS

Happy Monday everyone! Today my kids went back to school after a month-long school holiday. I can't believe that my eldest is now in his Year 7 and will be turning teen this March!! On the other hand, the youngest is now Year 2 and was very excited this morning while preparing for school. :)  Because of the "back-to-school" issue, I was busy preparing for their school needs weeks before and didn't get much time to play in any challenges or create any cards BUT I was able to alter notebooks last Saturday night for my sisters in Christ.

I bought a reporter's notebook (as it's being said on the label) and decided to dress them up with my patterned papers with stamped Bible verses from Our Daily Bread Designs and Unity Stamp.
Here's the before photo:

And the "after" photos:

I feel so blessed that I was able to bless them with these notebooks which they can use for different purposes but most of all, for jotting down notes during our Sunday Worship Service. :)

Thanks for looking and have a blessed day!

Life Is.....

Happy New Year fellow stampers and bloggers! My post for today isn't stamping-related but it's about a short poem/composition that I've written awhile ago. Just thought I'd share it with my readers as the new year starts.

Life is indeed short, and without God it is like an unsharpened pencil, it has not point. (wonderful verse I've read somewhere)

Happy New Year everyone! I hope that with this poem, I was able to inspire or encourage you.

God bless us all!

My Project Last Christmas

Hello fellow bloggers, stampers and crafters! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas Day with your family and friends.  Few days from now and we will be welcoming the New Year --- how fast the time flies!  I sometimes wish it will go slow a bit especially when you're having good times and creating lasting memories with family, relatives and friends.  :)  Anyways, been busy before Christmas and I failed to share this project that I made for the season.  It's a wreath --- a Christmas Balls Wreath.

The ornament balls (silver ones) were leftovers from what I've used on our Christmas tree and I just added few coloured balls to give it some pop.  The pine cones were from a gift that we received from a church friend and the tinsel was from the dollar shop.  The ribbon was from a previous sale and I'm so glad how it complemented my wreath. I made the bow myself. :)

This was just easy to make, so easy that my hubby got inspired and had a take on this. Here's his finished wreath:

I called his wreath "wintery wreath" because of its colours. :)  What do you think? (I also made the bow on this). As I've said, this project is so easy and you can find a lot of instructions on the web.

Thanks so much for looking and have a blessed Wednesday!

ALTERED!

Happy Wednesday everyone!! Hope you're all doing very well despite of being busy for the much-awaited CHRISTmas day!  I just couldn't believe that there are only 4 days left before Christmas. Wow! Time seems to be flying so fast.  I just hope that we will always remember the real reason of the season ---- Jesus! :)

Moving on to my project, here's the other box that I altered (heart-shaped box this time).  I bought this box from a dollar shop near our place 2 years ago and it's only now that I decided to dress it up.  Honestly, I like buying stuffs with the plan of altering them but I'm so slack in doing the latter not unless my hubby will encourage me or when I see something on the web that will inspire me to alter it. :)

Here it is:

I painted the edges of the box with a Kaisercraft (Dusty Pink) paint then adhered this gorgeous paper from Heidi Grace (which is part of  the papers that I hoarded years ago).  I used a corrugated (white) board for the  heart (which I die cut using the Spellbinders Hearts), inked the edges, put a generous amount of glue and a generous amount of my Martha Stewart Crystal Fine glitter for some effects.  The rest is self-explanatory. :)
And before I forget, I also used a generous amount of Modge Podge on this project.

Thanks for looking and until next post.

Have  a blessed day!

FOR A CHANGE

Hi everyone! How are y'all doing? Yes, I'm still here!! Sorry for not being an active blogger the past few weeks.  Since we are heading towards school holiday, I was also busy attending to the kids and their respective parent-teacher meetings.  I may not be making cards BUT I was busy altering boxes!

Have a look at the first box that I altered:

From here --------------- to here

to here!

I used my Heidi Grace designer paper pack for this project which has been left untouched for more than 2 years now. Imagine?! I really liked how it turned out with its vintage/shabby chic feel.

Will post more of the deets later and will also post the other box that I altered.

Thanks for the visit and have a blessed Tuesday!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Though we don't celebrate that here in Australia, I believe that everyday should be a Thanksgiving Day as our Father in heaven blesses us everyday as well. Let's learn to live with a grateful heart while acknowledging that everything that we have comes from God. Praise God from Whom all blessings flow!!

Here's my take for this week's sketch challenge (SC360) over SCS. The images that I used are actually not from a Christmas stamp set --- I just dressed it up to make it look Christmasy. (talking about improvising).

I didn't cut the circles but did the other option of layering on top of 2. What else? My McGill branch punch didn't work so I used this Fern punch from Carl Craft instead. The hats are actually birthday hats from the same stamp set (Changito Dos) so I just adorned it with stickles and pom poms on top to make it look like Santa's hat. :)

Here's the sketch:

And here's my card:

A closer shot of the monkey couple :)

Thanks for the visit and have a blessed day!

Can't Get Enough of This TREE :)

Happy Thursday everyone! I made 2 cards more for the CAS145 and TLC352 challenge over SCS and I used the Pine tree again from the SU! set Lovely As A Tree. I just can't get enough of it, really! LOL!  The first card is a "night" version of my first CAS145 card, cut out the tree and used pop dots for a bit of dimension. I also stamped (and cut) a holly and did paper piercing. The tree has glitters on it. Unfortunately, the camera wasn't able to capture it.

The second card is a non-traditional Christmas card (with a non-traditional colour of Christmas tree) :)
A Pine/Christmas tree stamped in Versacube Topaz. A different kind of Christmas tree with an aged/distressed look. :)

Thanks for visiting! Have  a blessed day!
