HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

It's Father's Day here in Australia, today! Happy Father's Day to all Dads!!! Here in Australia, we celebrate Father's Day on the first Sunday of September.

Just a quick post as I don't want DH to see this before he gets the card, LOL! I did this card more than 2weeks ago for a particular CAS challenge over SCS and that is to create Masculine card. I also did this for a Colour Combo challenge (SCS as well) and that is to use Close toCocoa, Vanilla and Taken with Teal.

Here's my simple card:

All images were from Clearly Inspired Nature set. I stamped the moose first then masked it and then stamped the background for an effect. :)

Okay, now I have to write my thoughts inside the card.

'Til next post! Have a blessed day!

Masculine Card and a Birthday Card

Happy Tuesday everyone! I'm sorry for not being too active on the blogland lately. I've been organising my unmounted stamps and attempting to make my own stamp index so I guess you know it entails loads of work!! I'm still trying to figure out which among the hundreds of ideas that will suit my taste...and I will let you know soon as I decide which is which. :D

I will be sharing with you two cards which I recently made. The first one was for last week's CAS28 and that is to create a masculine card which is Clean and Simple.

Here's my take:

I used my Clearly Inspired Paper Inspirations -Nature set for this. This is just a very quick and easy card. I did a reverse masking to spotlight the image using a scrap of acetate. After sponging, I then stamped the image with my Memento Tuxedo Black. The sentiment which is also from the same set was stampedon the outer panel for a different treatment. :) Btw, the main image was matted onto a Ballet Blue cs.

The next one is a birthday card for one of my closest friends back in the Philippines. I used Tilda Holding Cupcake here which was coloured with Copic markers.

For the first time, I used my DCWV The Sweet Stack for the background. This paper, rather the whole stack, is really yummy-looking! This one's very glittery but the camera just didn't capture it. Tilda's background is a Close to Cocoa cs embossed using Fiskars texture plates (Confetti). I really like the colour combo on this one...so vibrant and lively!! I just hope my friend likes it. :)

Okay, this is it for now. I still have more chores to do ahead of me. I'll be back with another card soon as I finished what I've started yesterday.

God bless us all!!

WOLF SILHOUETTE

Hello once again! This card was inspired by Michelle Zindorf's Lone Wolf. I was longing to have a brayer and some silhouette stamps and now I got them, I decided to give it a go.

I know this card didn't get so close to Michelle's but this is my FIRST time so I hope you understand if this is a bit of a mess. hahaha!

I read Michelle's tutorial while I was doing this but I just don't know what happened to my mountains. LOL! And the hill didn't end up to be a hill as well....more of a cliff (another LOL!). But I liked the outcome of that cliff (?) anyway. Honestly, I really enjoyed the whole process and I'm learning a lot. :) Here's my finished card (and don't laugh, pls? hahaha)

The camera didn't catch the blackness of the cliff here. IRL it's really black!! Anyways, I hope you somehow liked this card because I like it! (I better should, it's mine! LOL!)
Thanks for looking...more posts later!
