JUSTRITE CHRISTMAS LINKY PARTY - Card #3

Happy Sunday everyone! I'm just making this post short and sweet for today.  It's been a long but blessed day for us after we have fellowshipped with our brothers and sisters in Christ from our Worship Service this afternoon followed by a scrumptious fellowship dinner.

I'm sharing with you today my Justrite Christmas Linky Party Card #3. Here it is:

The sentiment is from Christmas Nested Sentiments set of Justrite Stampers but the Fir tree stamp is from a different stamp company (I forgot the name).  I hope this will qualify to the Justrite Christmas Linky Party challenge though but if not, I'm still happy to share it with you.

I created the scene by masking and sponging and I somehow like how it turned out.

What do you think? ;)

Thanks for the visit and have a blessed day!

Pink and Green Christmas

Happy Saturday everyone! I really wanted to post this yesterday but didn't get the chance to do so. This is my Justrite Christmas Linky Party Card #2 -- Pink and Green Christmas!! I'm also entering this to this week's Free For All Challenge (F4A88) over SCS.

The stamps that I used here are from 2 different Justrite stamp sets. The center is from the Sweet Treats set and the border is from the Christmas Treasures set.  The gorgeous pink dp isn't actually Christmas-related but made it work here, LOL!  It's actually from DCWV Sweet Stack.

The 2 green flowery-starry thing, or whatever you may call it shouldn't actually be there (the sparkly ones on left and right) but I made a bit of a boo boo here that's why they had to be there. LOL!  Everything's adhered and done when I noticed a small patch of green ink on the right side of the dp and the base itself (if you'll take a look closely, you can see the one on the base). To correct the accident, I sponged lightly on the card base and it looked naturally after that. But on the dp itself --- wow! I've really got to find a way to rectify that.  That's where these 2 green flowery things came to the rescue. If you have the Lacy Circles (which I used to mat my biggest circle here), then you know that there will be small leftovers of  cardstock on the die (on the scallops itself) which look like a grain of rice.  I adhered those to a circle double-adhesive pop dots then sprinkled it with MS Glitter + Stickles Star Dust to conceal the gaps.  The gaps are still obvious though but I just look at it as some kind of a "style". And that rectified  my problem!!!! I'm a genius! LOL!!

Here's a close-up of my focal image:

Thanks for visiting and for following my blog. I'll be working on my Card #3 this afternoon and hopefully will be able to post it, too. For the meantime, it's house chores for me! :)

Have a blessed Saturday!

JUSTRITE CHRISTMAS LINKY PARTY - Card #1

Hello everyone! I'm having my 3rd post for today! I'm on a roll! Yay!!! :)  I was reading my blog roll when I saw a post re Justrite Christmas Linky Party.  And I was like --- I wanna join!! So, I decided to upload my first Justrite Christmas Linky Party card tonight.  Here it is:

On this card, I just went a bit of CAS (clean and simple) as I really want to highlight the sentiment from one of Justrite's Christmas stamp sets.  I stamped it onto a white cs, then cut with a circle Nestabilities, matted onto red and black Petite Scalloped Circle Nesties (alternating the scallops).  While still inside the die, I lightly sponged around it using Memento Dew Drop Rhubarb Stalk.

My dp is from DCWV Christmas stack from years ago, matted onto red cs and tied around with an organdy ribbon.  Finished off the card with Stickles Star Dust around the area of the stamped sentiment that doesn't have the sponging, then I adhered rhinestones on the arch of the circle on top and at the bottom.

Thanks so much for looking and I'm so looking forward to creating more Justrite Christmas Linky Party cards! Come join the fun!!!!

THINK PINK!

Hello everyone! Here's my 2nd post for today, so if you wanna see my earlier post, just kindly scroll down. :)
This card is for ODBDSLC82 challenge -- Think Pink!  (Think Pink and Encouragement in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness. (it need not be on the theme of breast cancer but it must be pink and have a verse or sentiment of encouragement)

My verse is from ODBD Scripture Collection 2009.  I believe that this is an encouragement verse as it implies that everything has its own time; if there is sorrow, there is also a time for joy; if there is sickness, there is a also time for healing.

I stamped the scripture on a white cs, die-cut with Fleur de Lis Rectangle and while still on the die, I sponged it Memento Angel Pink using my large sponge dauber.  My dp is from Basic Grey Sultry which was matted onto a pink cs (too dark for this photo but it's a bit lighter IRL). The butterfly was cut from the same background dp with an additional stamped swirl from one of my stamp sets. I adhered a baby pink ribbon on the left bottom side, then finished it off with stacked of flowers and pearls for the butterfly.

Here's my card:

Thanks for looking and  see you again on my next post!

Hugs to all!  God bless!

Christmas Stocking

Happy Wednesday everyone! We're having a lovely weather here in Sydney today. Not too hot, not too cold -- just right! :)  Lovely weather to sit, stamp and create a card for this weeks colour combination challenge (CC347) over SCS.  The colours for this week are: More Mustard, Always Artichoke and Bravo Burgundy.
Here's my take on that:

I didn't have any SU! More Mustard cs left so I just chose a cs closer to it.  My image was coloured with mostly SU! markers to match that's why there isn't to much shading done here. The only Copic marker that I used was E000 for the face. I didn't know what was on my mind when I did the faux stitching, LOL! Oh well, all was pierced and done. Haha! I actually made some faux stitching error on the bottom right so I just concealed it by adhering a burgundy flower on it. :) Smart move eh?  The Always Artichoke base was embossed with Cuttlebug Snowflakes 2 embossing folder and the burgundy strip was also embossed with a cuttlebug embossing folder (I forgot the name). Finished it off by embelleshing the white part of the image's hat with Stickles Star Dust.

Here's a closer shot of the image:

The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and die-cut with Nesties Deckled Rectangle Lrg while the mustard-coloured cs was cut free-hamd using a deckled decorative scissors. The edges looked like they were cut with the same material. :)

Thank you for the visit and I'll see you on my next post.

God bless!

SAME BUT DIFFERENT

Good afternoon and happy Thursday everyone!  Yes, my cards for today are same but different! LOL!! Same lay-out used but different when it comes to the elements (colours, materials, etc.) used.  These cards are part of my orders and the lay-out was based on a card which was ordered from me last year, by the same person who is my churchmate/friend, Bing. :)

I happily obliged to grant her request provided that only the lay-out will be retained because I don't feel comfortable creating two identical cards! Identical in every aspect, that is. I don't know about you, but for me, it's my principle. LOL!

 Anyway, here are the cards:

 Materials used:

Stamps: Jemac Stamps
Paper: white cs, DCWV dp, mint green cs
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Cuttlebug Victoria embossing folder, Spellbinders Labels One and Four, McGill branch punch, flower, paper rose, Kaiser pearls

Materials used:

Stamps: Jemac Stamps
Paper: white cs, Perfect Plum, Basic Grey Koshi dp
Ink: Memento Dew Drop Sweet Plum
Accessories: Craft Concept Cottage Floral embossing folder, Spellbinders Labels One and Big Scalloped Ovals Lg, McGill branch punch, Green Tara flower, paper rose, Kaiser pearls

These cards along with another one (which I will be posting soon) are my entries for the Hope You Can Cling To Challenge (HYCCT1125) over SCS.  I'm also entering these cards to Joan's World Cardmaking Day Blog Candy!

Thanks for looking and have a blessed day!
