Masculine Card and a Birthday Card

Happy Tuesday everyone! I'm sorry for not being too active on the blogland lately. I've been organising my unmounted stamps and attempting to make my own stamp index so I guess you know it entails loads of work!! I'm still trying to figure out which among the hundreds of ideas that will suit my taste...and I will let you know soon as I decide which is which. :D

I will be sharing with you two cards which I recently made. The first one was for last week's CAS28 and that is to create a masculine card which is Clean and Simple.

Here's my take:

I used my Clearly Inspired Paper Inspirations -Nature set for this. This is just a very quick and easy card. I did a reverse masking to spotlight the image using a scrap of acetate. After sponging, I then stamped the image with my Memento Tuxedo Black. The sentiment which is also from the same set was stampedon the outer panel for a different treatment. :) Btw, the main image was matted onto a Ballet Blue cs.

The next one is a birthday card for one of my closest friends back in the Philippines. I used Tilda Holding Cupcake here which was coloured with Copic markers.

For the first time, I used my DCWV The Sweet Stack for the background. This paper, rather the whole stack, is really yummy-looking! This one's very glittery but the camera just didn't capture it. Tilda's background is a Close to Cocoa cs embossed using Fiskars texture plates (Confetti). I really like the colour combo on this one...so vibrant and lively!! I just hope my friend likes it. :)

Okay, this is it for now. I still have more chores to do ahead of me. I'll be back with another card soon as I finished what I've started yesterday.

God bless us all!!

Hello everyone! As promised, here are the cards that I made (and wasn't able to post) during the time that I couldn't sign in and update my blog.

These cards were made for Verve's Anni-VERVE-sary Sketch Challenge. The following cards were posted according to sketch #.

Have a looksee:

Sketch #5

I will try to add the details on each card so that you'll have some ideas re: the materials or techniques that I used. The first card was the one chosen for ODBD Customer Card of the Day!

Have to hit the bed now, it's almost 1am here in Sydney and I already feel soooo sleepy. :)

Thanks for the visit and please leave a message so I'll know that you've been here.

May our good Lord bless us all!

I'm BACK!!!

Yay! My blog is now once again up and running!!! Thanks to my husband who did all what he could to fix this problem. Even if it meant deleting some of our files from April onwards! LOL! But then of course, before he did it he transferred most of our files to an external drive just to make sure we wouldn't lose anything important :D

I missed each and every one of you! I will be posting the cards I made the past week in one GO so you can be updated with everything in just one sitting. LOL!

I would also like to thank my very lovely and kind friend Kathy for posting for me. Thanks sooo much Kathy! I really appreciate it. I shared to her the good news re: ODBD Customer Card of the Day and my eagerness to share it with you but I was having blogger problems then. And I was sooo glad when she said yes if she could do the "shoutout" for me. :) Thanks once again, Kathy!! :)

Happy Saturday and have a blessed day everyone!

Be back later! :)

Tilda with Bell Christmas Card

Hello!!! It's already 1am here and before I go to sleep, I would just like to share with you the card that I made a few hours ago. I've been having mini-migraine attacks and it's an on and off thing since yesterday afternoon. Anyways, I won't make this post long so I can have a good sleep.

This is a Christmas card and I'm so excited because I used Tilda with Bell which is a RAK stamped image from this very kind lady named Norma. This lady really makes fab cards and has addiction with Tilda! (it's a self-confession LOL!) So if you have the chance, visit Norma's blog so you'll know what I'm talking about. Thanks so much again Norma, I really appreciate it. Norma stamped and sent me heaps of Tilda images and I can't wait to colour them in and use them on my cards. :D

Here's the first one that I've finished:

Isn't Tilda so gorgeous holding that bell?? To those of you who always follow my blog, you don't normally see me using two dp's in a card. I'm not so comfy using 2 dp's because my card may appear too loud to look at (iykwim). But then, I've been seeing lots of stampers using 2 dps (and even 3) so I might as well try it with this one. Anyways, this pretty Kaisercraft paper is a double-sided paper so they really complement with each other. Tilda's background was stamped with Inque Boutique snowflakes using Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder. Btw, Tilda was coloured with Copics and I went over in some parts of her clothes with Copic glitter spica pen (the camera wasn't able to capture the sparkle, though)

Here's a more closer shot of the card:

Okay, have to hit the bed now. I need to sleep. Thanks for visiting and let me know you've been here by leaving a comment or two. :D

God bless you! Happy Sunday!!!!

Wedding Card

Hello once again! This is my second post for the day so scroll down if you wanna see my first post.

This card is another requested card by one of the youth members of our church, the lovely Louise. She asked me 2 weeks ago to make a wedding card for her friend and my mind was so blank to put together a wedding card (for the past few days) that's why I just finished this one few hours ago. My Mojo seems to be somewhere else lately..good thing it came back right on time. LOL!

She didn't give me any particular colours so I called the shot for this one. Here it is:

My card base is a white cs, then I matted this shimmery dp from Grant Archival with a black cs and adhered it to the card base. I used my ticket corner punch on the four sides of the dp so I can put on some tiny pearls on it.

Originally, the image and the sentiment (which is a rub on) were stamped and rubbed on together and was die cut using Labels One. But when I did my sponging, I didn't like the way it turned out. So I cut half of the Labels 1 and just took the part where I rubbed on the sentiment. I then stamp the hearts image again and embossd it using clear ep, cut it with my circle Nesties and adhered it to my scalloped Nesties.

To hide the edge of the cut Labels 1, I then adhered black grosgrain ribbon then put another organdy ribbon on top of it. The rest is self explanatory. I hope she likes this one when I hand this to her tomorrow.

How about you? What do you think of this card?

Thanks for looking.

Red and White Birthday

Hello!!! Whew! It's been a week since I last posted here. Been quite busy around the house and making requested cards as well. Hope you're all doing very well wherever you are.

This card was actually requested to me by a friend to be given to another friend. :D It's for an 18th birthday and she wanted the colours to be just red and white. I have actually been having problems with my guillotine (the cut is going slanted) and been eyeing for the Making Memories trimmer (as per the product review, it works very well). I believe the paper trimmer/cutter is every cardmakers' best friend. Do you agree with me?? Well, it's because our activity when making cards is mostly cutting...from the card base up to mattings and so on. So, it has to be something really reliable. I was still able to use my guillotine but I bought a pre-cut card bases just to make sure. :D

Okay, here's my card and let me know what you think..

Yes! I already have the white embossing powder!! I've been looking for this but it's always sold out. Good thing when I went to our LSS yesterday, they have these newly-delivered embossing powders and luckily, I found a white one. This ep is from Hero Arts.
I stamped my ODBD Scripture Collection 2 bible verse with Versamark and heat-embossed with white ep. The dp is Breeze by Prima from their Harmony Collection while the red cs is from Bazzill. The flowers were made using Shapeabilities Daisy Heads and ran through my Cuttlebug Textile embossing folder. I finished off the card by putting pearls on its center and to the 2 corners of the card.

I have just finished another card but will post it in a little while so stay tuned.

Thanks for visiting and have a lovely day!

God bless!
