Merry Christmas!

Hello everyone! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all of you! My family and I are on a one-month holiday overseas that's why I just want to let you know that there'll be no new card uploads until we get back to Sydney. At the moment, I'm simply savouring my time bonding with my family and friends here in the Philippines as we haven't seen each other for 4 years. :)

I hope you understand and I hope you won't get tired of following my blog. Rest-assured that I will be stamping after our holiday. :)

Thanks so much for visiting and I'll give you updates once in a while.

God bless and Merry Christmas once again.

Hugs,

Jhet

UPDATE (with a card)

Hello everyone! Happy Thursday to all of you! Wow! Time flies so fast that I've just noticed I haven't been posting for almost a week now. I'm so sorry for that, guys. It has been a busy week for all of us here at home and WILL still be very busy as we approach our long-awaited holiday overseas!

My kids (and I) are actually doing the countdown! LOL! And I never thought packing will be that hard. I have to make a checklist so as not to forget something not to mention the things that my siblings want me to bring back home. :) And that's the reason why I don't have the time to sit and stamp so I hope you understand. I will probably won't be sharing much of my craft work for a few weeks as I will be busy exchanging updates, chatting, strolling here and there with my family and friends during our holiday! Well I have to make the most out of it as I haven't seen them for 4 straight years! So, just imagine. ;)

Anyways, I was able to whip a card the other day and I just went simple as possible as I did this in-between the packing and house chores. :)

Look how simple it is! But I really like it. :) I just went all white with a touch of Purely Pomegranate. I embossed the horizontal panel with Cuttlebug Holly embossing folder and sprayed Glimmer Mist Pearl generously on it. Though you can't see it on this shot, IRL it's really glimmery. I stamped my sentiment directly to the card base with my ODBD Stamp Joy to the World set using Purely Pomegranate Ink. And YAY for me 'coz I already have the "new" Martha Stewart Floral Vine deep edge punch! Wohoo!! Would you believe I was able to purchase it here in Australia??? Yeah, I got it from LimeTart with the kind assistance of its owner, Philippa. Thanks so much Philippa!! I finished off the card with some Plum pearls (Kaisercraft) and Prima flowers that complement the card. I gave this card yesterday to my son's Speech Therapist as they will have a session break for the holiday and she so liked it!

So, what do you think??

This is all for now and thank you so much for visiting eventhough I don't post that much lately. Rest-assured that I will be popping in once in awhile to update you.

God bless everyone! Keep smiling! =)

{WT248} HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Happy Friday everyone! This week's SCS Ways to Use It theme is "Let's Go Caroling". Make a card, altered project, tag etc., and incorporate it with the "carol song" that you chose or that inspired you. I chose Happy Holidays (by Bing Crosby) and used my Carolers stamp from Clearly Wordsworth.

I stamped and paper-pieced my image with the same Kaisercraft dsp that I used as background. I did some sponging and used Stickles here and there for some bling.

Thanks for looking and hope you will all have a Happy Holidays!

Have a blessed day!

Vintage Christmas

Happy Tuesday everyone!!! Been MIA from the blogland for the past few days! I know, we've been kind of busy at home doing a lot of things as preparation for our holiday overseas come Dec 23! Wohoo! Can't wait to see my family back in the Philippines!! I'll give you more updates once in a while.

For the meantime, let me share with you this simple Vintage Christmas card that I've created 2days ago. No colouring done here. Just stamping, a bit of sponging and cutting with Spellbinders and Cuttlebug. :)

This is just a very quick post, sorry, I'll make it up to y'all next time.

God bless us all!

Another Christmas Card

Hello everyone! How are you all doing? Sorry if I haven't posted for the past few days now. I just feel a bit unwell as I'm having migraine once again and we're also a bit busy packing for our holiday in the Philippines this Dec. YAY!!

On to the card, this is just actually very simple as you can see. The dp is from Basic Grey Wassail and the sentiment is from AmyR Christmas sentiments stamps by CC Designs. I stamped it using Versafine Crimson Red, cut it with Labels 1 die, sponged around it with Versamagic Dew Drop Sage then Cuttlebugged it with Holly embossing folder. The flower is actually felt. Yeah, I tried cutting the felt using my Spellbinders Daisy Heads. And I liked how it turned out! I finished off the card by spraying Glimmer Mist Pearl onto the main panel, tying a satin ribbon around and putting 4 red pearls on the corners.

Thanks for visiting and let's altogether do the countdown 'til Christmas!! Just 23 more days to go!!

God bless us all. Until next post. :-)

TWO CARDS

Happy Saturday everyone!! Wohoo! I just can't believe how quick the time flies! Just a couple of sleeps more and it's already December!!! And I'm so looking forward for our holiday in the Philippines as we can get to see our family and relatives (and friends. of course!) back home!! We'll celebrate Christmas and New Year there! YAY!! How's that?!!!

Anyways, let me share you some cards that I made lately. I have received my Whiff of Joy stamps from Bec few days ago and Charlotte is so gorgeous that I couldn't help but ink her straight away and use her on these cards!

The first card is a Christmas card but I used the colours from the recent CC246 challenge.

The next one is very Christmasy and I used the Out of the Box technique here. (Charlotte's hair passing outside the frame). This challenge is from TLC247 challenge last week. (talking about being late here, lol!)

That's it for now and I'll try to post more later after doing my Saturday chores! Hubby's home early today so that means "badminton" for the family later! Wohoo!!
God bless us all!

CC246 Be My Friend

Hi everyone! I was able to play tonight for this week's Colour Combo challenge over SCS. This is CC246 wherein you are to combine SU! Old Olive, Pretty in Pink and Bermuda Bay. I don't have the latter colour but I was able to use an alternative with Core'dinations Bermuda which I think is close enough with the Bermuda Bay.

My card is 5.5"x5.5" in size. I started with the white base, then the Bermuda (Core'dinations) and then with thise lovely plaid dp from K&Company Classic K Charlotte paper pad which I purchased from Windsor Cottage Botanicals.

The horizontal panels of Bermuda and Pretty in Pink were punched using Fiskars All A-Fleur embunch but the Pretty in Pink was Cuttlebug-embossed first with Divine Swirl then embunched afterwards. I don't have anything on my mind for the lay out so I went for a simple one. Image is from Darkroom Door and sentiment is from Jemac stamps. Both were stamped with Old Olive and sponged around it with Versacolor Pink Petals. The lovely pearl slider/buckle is from BizzyBecs which was made by the owner herself, Bec! Thanks Bec, they're really lovely. Btw, I sprayed Glimmer Mist pearl to the image panel but the camera just really couldn't capture the glimmer on the paper.

Good morning and happy Wednesday! (it's 1250am, Sydney time)

God bless us all!

CAS42 Sponging with Butterflies

Yay!! This week's set CAS challenge over SCS is a simple technique called "sponging" which happens to be one of my favs! That's why as soon as I saw the post, I didn't waste anytime and made my contribution to it straight away. :)

This sponging technique is actually a reverse masking. I'm so into the challenge but I was lost at first and didn't know where to start. I bet you also have days like this. So, I flipped onto my stamped images and stamps (which I organised on a 3-ring binder) and saw these cute butterflies from Darkroom Door Wildflower set. Okay problem solved. I did the sponging first (using the negative side of the Labels 1 die cut as the mask), stamped the butterflies, coloured the biggest of them all, stamped the sentiment then finished off with 3 layers of assorted flowers with a Basic Grey pearl on the centre. Quick, clean and simple.

What do you think?

Thanks for visiting and have a blessed day!

THANK YOU CARD AND AN ALTERED CAN

Happy Monday everyone! Now I can finally share with you this Thank You card I made the other night and the altered tin I've finished yesterday. I didn't post it not until the recipient receives and sees it IRL (so as not to spoil the suprise). I'm so glad she liked the stuffs when I handed those to her yesterday! :)

I made this "Thank You" card for her as she recently altered my 2 new jeans the past few weeks. Just a simple token of thanks for her time and effort. :)

And to thank her more, I altered this Cadbury Drinking Chocolate can for her to use as pen holder.

I really like this colour combo. It's so me (talking about brown!). The cute and glittery dp is from DCWV Sweet Stack, the yellowish one is Bazzill and the brown cs is...from my stash. :)
Actually these are mostly left-overs from a previous card but just can't post it because I still have yet to let the recipient receive it first! (again heheh) It's a birthday card for my sister so I have to wait 'til the postie delivers it to her.
This is all for now! Hope you'll have a blessed start of the week!
Hugs to all!

SQUARE CARDS

Yeah I know, you always see square cards on my gallery. LOL! What I mean is, square cards but a smaller version. :) These cards are sized 4.75"x4.75". I'm beginning to make cards with such size as I want to make use of my scraps and other leftover papers or embellies or whatever I can find that isn't enough for a 5.5" square cards (sizewise) but is just too right for this 4.75" squares.

My finished cards:

Aren't they cute? :) The one in the middle is the Just Because card I posted a few days ago and rest are Christmas cards to be given for my family and friends.

Detailed shots below:

Here, I used my leftover dp from my "Stockings on a BIG Card" card.

And the papers on this one are from past projects as well. Can't recall what are those now. LOL! And I also tried stamping onto this stitched grosgrain ribbon from SU! using my Choc Chip ink. Not bad to look at though. ;)
How about you? How do you use your scraps?? :)
Thanks for visiting and happy Saturday!

WT245 Give Thanks

This week's Ways to Use It Challenge over SCS is about Giving Thanks. Such a lovely challenge that reminds us to be thankful everytime. As one of my favourite Bible verses says: “Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

So here is my share for the challenge. Looksee..

I had a hard time putting this card together as I actually started with it 3wks ago. Well, I really wanted the colours and the dp but I was thinking on what image stamp to use or if it really needed one in the first place. I set it aside and forced myself to forget about it and went along with my Christmas cards orders. LOL! But after seeing the challenge set by Julia over SCS, I suddenly remembered that I have a pending card to put together. Yes indeed it didn't need any image stamp, but a sentiment stamp would do! And voila!! My card's done! :)

I stamped the sentiment (Amy R Friendship Sentiments by CC Designs) with Night of Navy Ink onto the retired River Rock dp and cut it with Labels 4 Nesties. This goes out to all my friends...THANK YOU so much for the friendship! I love you all! ♥

Thanks again for visiting and if you haven't been saying thank you lately, you may start now. Remember that "Gratitude creates the most wonderful feeling. It can resolve disputes. It can strengthen friendships. And it makes us better men and women." -- Gordon B. Hinckley

God bless us all!

CC245 Always Real Chocolate

And this colour combo rocks! The CC245 over SCS is a combo of Real Red, Choc Chip and Always Artichoke (and any neutral colour is allowed as well). I really like these rich colours that's why eventhough I'm already 2days behind the challenge, I still made a card for that.

This House Mouse is sooooo adorable! Just look at him with his eyes closed. ;) That's why I chose the sentiment "Peace" to go along with the image as this mouse exudes peace and calmness. Don't you think so? :)

I stamped this mouse with Versafine Onyx Black, heat-embossed with clear ep and then coloured it with a combination of Copics and Prismacolor pencils. His cheeks are more pinkish IRL, the real colour wasn't just captured by the camera. I cut it and mounted it onto a Basic Grey Wassail dp and then matted altogether onto a Choc Chip cs cut with Scalloped Oval Nesties.

Here's a closer shot:

Card size btw is 4.75" x 4.75". And most of the materials I used here are from my scraps. ;) The Choc Chip mat behind the Real Red is actually hollow in the middle. You know when you cut your mats using Spellbinders and what's only left is the square thing with holes on the middle resulting from your die cuts?? IFYKWIM. That's it! Sorry, I hope I'm making sense here. LOL!

Okay, this is it for now. Gotta grab some quick lunch for me and DS2.

God bless each and everyone of us! Enjoy your day!

Just Because (2nd post)

Hello fellow bloggers! Well, as I've said, I'm starting to make cards smaller than what I normally make. Not that I will refrain from making my 5.5's square cards, just trying these for a change and also to use scraps that I used from previous cards.

Here's a Just Because card to add on my stash:

It's Spring here but I really like the colours of Fall. :) I haven't been using my Shapeabilities Daisy Heads die so I used it here as I think it looks nice on rust and vanilla.

So simple but I like it! Btw, this is my 2nd post for today so kindly scroll down to see my earlier post.

Thanks for looking and I'll see you on my next post again.

Remember HER?

I'm sure you do! She's one of the first gorgeous stamps originally from Bizzy Becs called "Little Cuties Collection" and this one here is Hippy Girl Jewels!

I was part of the very first Design Team of Bizzy Becs and my exposure there really helped me a lot to hone my skills as a beginner. Thanks so much to Bec. So, in honor and gratitude of you, Bec, I once again inked this Little Cutie and used her on a card.

This one's for you BEC!

Isn't she the cutest?!! :) I coloured Jewels with Copics and Prismacolor pencils. The size of this card is 4.75 x 4.75. I'm starting to make cards with this size as I bought a pack of pre-cut card base more than a month ago and I believe it's time for me to use them. I've done a couple yesterday but will share it with you tomorrow. The sentiment I used here is from Jemac Stamps and reads:

A hug is the shortest distance between friends

For the meantime, I hope you enjoy looking at Jewels and let me know what you think by leaving a comment or two. Thanks for the visit!

God bless us all!

Stockings On A BIG Card

Good morning! I was requested to make a "big" card by a churchmate to be given to her boss at work. Well, this one's actually an A4 folded in half which I still consider big as I don't normally make cards with this size. :) She wanted the stockings onto the card so I used my Spellbinders Wreath and Stockings die. My stockings card are making waves really as I will be making another card order using that die. That will be my 4th stockings card order in less than 3wks! :)

The base is an American Crafts cs which I bought on A3 size for 99cents @ Lincraft. And it's very, very sturdy as it's 270gsm (if I'm not mistaken). It has to be masculine (as her boss is a guy) so I chose blue for this. The dp is from DCWV 12x12 Christmas Stack which I bought way back 2007 and the sentiment is from House Mouse Christmas clear stamps set. The rest of the card is pretty self-explanatory.

Thanks for looking and enjoy the rest of the day!

God bless you.

Ice Skating Tilda

Good morning and happy, happy Monday to all of you! I will be sharing a card using Ice Skating Tilda for the second time. You may notice that this card looks familiar to you. Yeah, it is! I made a card for the Roses on Paper challenge using the same papers, image and embellishments which you can find HERE.

A churchmate liked it and asked me to make her one. To those of you who know me, I don't normally mass produce or make 2 cards so identical to each other. So, I just made a few twists and I'm sure, crafters as you are like me, you can easily spot the difference. :)

Don't be shy, tell me the differences that you're seeing. :)

Thanks for looking and I'm off to finish some house chores and then sit and stamp!

Have a lovely week! God bless us all.

Quick Birthday Card

Hi everyone! This is just a quick post as I'm a bit tired and sore from playing badminton with hubby! :) But I'm glad as we're doing this regularly since Monday...and it's fun because our two kids are playing with us as well.

My SIL asked me to make a birthday card this morning and so I really had to rush a bit as I was also doing some cards to be delivered on Sunday.

I used some papers from my stash and this lovely dp is from K&Company Wild Raspberry pad. I embossed a pink cs for the horizontal panel, stamped my sentiment onto white cs, cut with Circle Nesties, sponged and then matted onto Petite Scalloped Circle die cut. Finished off the card with the smallest Kaiser pearls Plum on four corners of the card and a small Prima flower with a Kaiser pearl Lemon at the centre. Quick and easy!!

Okay, off to prepare for our Bible study tonight. Thanks for the visit and may our good Lord bless you always.

Hugs,

Roses on Paper Challenge #24

Good morning fellow stampers! Well this is my very first Roses on Paper Challenge card, for the record. :) I've seen this challenge upon visiting a fellow stamper's blog. And what a perfect timing as I've just finished a Christmas card using Tilda (by Magnolia) and it qualifies on the said challenge (to make a card with Christmas theme)! Yay!

Here's my card:

This lovely dsp is from My Mind's Eye. Very non-traditional colours yet gorgeous to look at and those were the colours that I used to colour in my Tilda (which is a RAK image I received from an online pal). Sentiment is from CC Designs AmyR Christmas Verses stamp set. I finished off the card with these cute snowflakes created from Spellbinders' Create a Flake 1, sponged with Soft Sky ink then sparkled with Martha Stewart Crystal Fine Glitter.

Thanks for visiting and let me know what you think with my first Roses on Paper challenge card. ;-)

Have a blessed day!

Colourful Christmas Take TWO!

Good morning to you all! Today is a very lovely day here in Sydney where I am. Ths sun is shining bright but the the weather is just fine, not too hot. ;)

I have a take two on my colourful christmas card which you can be seen on this post. The first card was seen by a friend and asked me to make her a card using the same colours and materials. Well, honestly, I don't or I never made two cards completely the same in my entire stamping career! LOL! I don't know, I'm not just so comfortable doing that. So, since it's a request, I had no choice but do it. :) I used the same materials but of course made some "twists" to make it somehow different from the first one.

Here it is:

And a closer shot...

As you can see, I used a different lay out here and a different sentiment. And this is more sparkly than the first one I think. This lovely dp is from My Mind's Eye Colourful Christmas "Falling Flakes". Gorgeous colours! Too bad I only had a page of it. (Note to self: buy papers in twos next time!)
Thanks for the visit and I'll see you on my next post. Off to stamp now.

Thank You Card

Happy Monday everyone!! Thank God for another Monday! And right now, I wanted to share with you a "Thank You"card that I made as requested by a churchmate. He asked me to make this card to be given to a couple who will get married on Dec and his services (he covers weddings and such on videos) were chosen and so he wanted to say "thanks" on a card. I borrowed the invitation from, him so I could somehow have an idea with regards to the colours or theme used.

Soon as I saw this invitation, I told myself to get the same materials that they used and just made a twist for the thank you card.

Here's the card that I made:

What do you think???!! I was actually about to do a gatefold but changed my mind and used a traditional style instead. I also did not do paper tearing but used a pearlescent cream cs to complement the paper used. There's no ribbon but I did dry embossing using my Cuttlebug Textile folder which I believe complemented the specialty paper. :)
Thanks so much for the visit and let me know what you think by leaving a comment or two when you get the chance.
Have a blessed week!!

BIRTHDAY Cards

Happy Friday everyone! Sorry, I was MIA (Missing In Action) these past few days. I had migraine for 3 straight days and I was so unproductive during those times. :( I'm always like this whenever there's a change in the weather and the early days of this week was so hot and that triggered my migraine. Hubby didn't go to work last Wed to look after me and the kids and he accompanied me to the doctor as well to have a check-up. Thank God, I'm well now.

Anyways, I will just share to you two of the birthday cards that has been ordered from me.

The first card has autumn colours. :) The card base that I used is a 290gsm cs which I bought on clearance in our LSS. The dp is from My Mind's Eye and the flower image is from Darkroom Door. Sentiment is from Jemac stamps.

This one's yummy! LOL! I used my Inkadinkado Cupcake stamps which I haven't been using for quite awhile now. Cupcake stamps were one of my first collections as they're so gorgeous and easy to colour with. The dp is from Basic Grey cupcake.
Be back with more cards to share. Thanks for the visit!

Sweet Birthday Wishes

Hello everyone! It's soo hot in here atm and we're having it at 38degrees!! That's why my migraine is slowly coming back again (I've just recovered this morning, gosh!)

Anyway, here's a card I whipped up as part of my orders which I have already delivered last Sunday! Yay! My churchmate ordered 15 cards, 10 Christmas and 5 Birthdays. I still owe him 2 of the latter though. :)

I didn't put too much embellies on this one as I want to take advantage of the beauty of the paper. I stamped the sentiment directly and just added pearls on each side of it.

Tilda was coloured with a combo of Copics and Prismacolor pencils with odourless solvent. I just took the colours from the dp (which is from Basic Grey Sultry) and adhered Tilda onto it.

Thanks for looking! Gotta grab some late lunch here.

GOD bless us all.

Birthday Card

Good evening from the land Down Under! This is my 2nd post for the day so kindly scroll down for my earlier post. I whipped this card about 3hrs before our Church Service yesterday as my friend requested me to make her one to be given for her sister's birthday.

This very encouraging verse is from ODBD Scripture Collection 1. It's stamped with SU! Old Olive (loaded with Versamark first) then heat embossed with clear ep. Cut with square Nestabilities and matted with a very thin SU! Groovy Guava (retired) then matted again with the square scalloped Nesties. The lovely dp is from K&Company Beyond Postmarks which I bought from Windsor Cottage Botanicals. I finished off the card with Prima flower and a paper rose flower plus 4 chocolate Kaiser pearls in each corner.

God bless everyone!

Engagement Card

Hello everyone! This is the first-ever engagement card that I have made in my almost 2yrs of stamping and cardmaking. A friend of mine from the church gave a me a quite short notice on this one but she gave me the colours so it didn't take me long to come up with one. Here have a looksee..

This combo is very elegant-looking! I started with a white base then a black cs and then used a Kaisercraft dsp (both sides). The silver panel is a Bazzill Bling embossed with Swiss Dots embossing folder which was matted with a black cs again with the lower part punched with MS Doily Lace punch.

I don't actually have a "specific" engagement stamp/s and I only have this Congratulations word which is from Jemac Rubberstamps (that I bought from the recent Craft Show that I went to). So I have to improvise, I then used my JustRite Times New Roman Lowercase font and voila! Problem solved!! The image on the left side was also from Jemac Clear stamps set.

The sentiment and image were all stamped with Versafine Onxy Black and heat embossed with clear ep. Cut it with Labels 4 and matted it onto a black cs also cut with the same die. I also spritzed a bit of Glimmer Mist Pearl onto it and to the flowers as well.
So, what do you think?? I'd love to hear from you when you visit. :)
Thanks for stopping by. God bless you!

Glory to God in the Highest!

Taken from Luke 2:14, this verse and the image stamped were both from Sweet 'N Sassy stamps. The verse is from their Christmas Scripture set and the image is from Jesus is Born set.

I actually experimented on this as I was thinking of other colours to go with silver. So I decided to use SU! Night of Navy which I think looked well with my Bazzill Bling in silver. The image was stamped with Versacolor Silver and heat embossed with clear ep while the sentiment was stamped with Night of Navy ink.

The image panel was cut using my Spellbinders Mega Curve Rectangles which I recently purchased from Bizzy Becs. Then while still inside the die, I then sponged some Bashful Blue ink and Night of Navy for more depth.

Here's a close-up shot:

Thanks so much for looking! Got this card done yesterday morning and this will go to my personal Christmas cards to be given to family and friends. I've been busy finishing Christmas cards orders and I haven't even filled up my personal stash yet!! So now, my aim is to slowly build up my Christmas cards...I'll get there by the grace of God. :)

My family and I weren't able to go to our Friday Bible study last night as I wasn't really feeling well. It's that time of the month and I was feeling so differently that I couldn't barely stand up because of the lower abdomen pain. I wasn't able to do anything from afternoon 'til night but lie down and praying that the pain would go away. I woke up in the middle of the night feeling a bit better..thank God!

This is all for now. I will be finishing card orders to be delivered tomorrow so I have to sit and stamp now otherwise I wouldn't get anything done. :)

God bless us all and happy Saturday!

WT242 Purple Pretties!!

This week's Ways to Use It Challenge set by Julia is Purple Pretties -- that is to use purple in your card! Would you believe that I was on the finishing stage of this Christmas card when Julia posted the challenge over SCS?? YAY! It's a jackpot! My card fits the challenge so right!! Purple!

The sentiment is from Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps' Jesus is Born set. I stamped it using Versacolor Violet, heat-embossed with clear ep then cut with Spellbinders Labels 4. I sponged around it with Versacolor Hyacinth while it's still inside the die, embossed it with Birds and Swirls embossing folder then spritzed a bit of Glimmer Mist Pearl. I also used a purple sheer/organdy ribbon on this card. To make it more Christmasy, I again used my Create a Flake 1 to make these cute snowflakes. ;) I sponged Hyacinth ink to my snowflakes then generously glued some MS Crystal Fine glitter. I then finished it off with some purple rhinestones by Kaisercraft. The lovely dp is also from Kaisecraft Lilac Avenue Collection - Sweet Pea.

Thanks for the visit and hope you'll all have a blessed day!

Happy stamping!

All That Sparkles!

Good morning! Today's card is one of the two that I've done yesterday and this is a Christmas card with non-traditional colours and is sparkling! LOL!

This card is also my entry (my very first!) to Simon Says Stamp Weekly Challenge. I uploaded this to SCS and the kind Steph (of Simon Says) mentioned to me that their current challenge is about getting sparkly and that my card qualifies for it. Wow! It's so exciting as I posted my card the same day they posted their challenge so...yeah, I guess I'm in. :) I haven't been to their blog and it's also my first time to visit it and I bet I will be visiting it often and try to join their weekly challenges..hopefully. :)

Oh! Here's my card btw,

Look at those colours! I mean, nothing beats green and red for Christmas but it's good to know that other colours can look Christmasy, too! The dp that I used is from My Mind's Eye "Snowflake Stripes" (Colourful Christmas collection). I coloured Tilda using the colours from it using a combination of Copics and Prisma pencils. (NOTE! Always use Copic first then Prisma pencils when colouring).

Here's a close up shot of my sparkly Tilda and snowflake (which I made using Create a Flake 1 by Spellbinders).

Okay, I'll see you again later as it's my DS2's turn to use the computer. Thanks for the visit!
Have a blessed day!

Luke 2:10 Christmas Card

I have finished two cards last night and these are part of the Christmas orders that I'm currently doing. The first one is just a very simple card with a simple lay out but with a powerful verse which was taken from Luke 2:10. The verse was from Sweet 'N Sassy stamps Scripture Collection which was stamped with Versamagic Sage and heat embossed with clear ep. I then cut it with cicle Nestabilities then sponged around it with Versafine Narcissus and SU! So Saffron while still inside the die. I then matted it with a bit bigger circle which I cut using my Fiskars circle cutter with a circle template. The rest of the mats were cut using Circle Scalloped Nestabilities. I finished off the card with a Cuttlebug Vintage corner die cut on the upper left side and a Poinsettia flower (from Prima Festive Christmas) with a pearl on the center. I also spritzed a bit of Glimmer Mist Pearl to the verse panel for an effect (which unfortunately couldn't be seen here).
I will be posting my 2nd card later as my craft table is soo messy at the moment and is needing some cleaning and a bit of organising before I can sit and stamp.
Thanks for visiting and I'll see y'all on my next post.
Hugs,
Jhet

WT241 Christmas Stockings

Happy Saturday! I just want to share with you the card that I made for Ways to Use It Challenge #241 over SCS. The theme is "patchwork" and I must say now that the dp that I used (by DCWV) already came as patches so I guessed I cheated a bit. lol! But hey, I did a lot of faux stitching here. :) I actually wanted to do the faux stitching horizontally as well but my fingers just grew tired with piercing. :)

This DCWV dp is from their Christmas Stack which I bought 2yrs ago. I actually got 2 pads of them and you can't really resist the colours and beauty of its designs. The stockings were made using Spellbinders Wreath and Stocking (Shapeabilities) which, if Im not mistaken, has been with me for more than year and it's only now that I used it. I used chipboard to make the stockings and then cut again using the same background dp. I used some glue and sprinkled my MS Crystal Fine glitter to add bling to the stockings. Sentiment is from Darkroom Door Christmas Reindeer set which I bought at my LSS at 40% off! Gotta love discounts! :)

Another card added to my Christmas stash! Thanks for looking and happy stamping!

3 Christmas Cards

Happy Friday everyone! Wow! Time really flies so fast, it seems to me that we've just started with Monday and now we're onto the weekend already! I hope you're all doing very well upon reading my post for today.

I was able to finish 3 cards yesterday! YAY! And these are also part of my Christmas orders and thank God I'm slowly getting to finishing them all before November hits. I hope I can somehow do another 2 today. :)

Card #1

This is the first time I inked up this Tilda. This is one of the stamps I got from the Summer Collection kit. And yes! I enjoyed using my Spellbinders Create a Flake 1! Hubby bought this to me along with some stuffs when we visited a scrapbook shop the other day. I was actually into an MS Snowflake punch for so long now but it's so hard to find them here in Australia. So when I stumbled upon a card using this Create a Flake die, I thought, hey why not this one instead of the punch? And it's so beautiful IRL especially when you add glitters or stickles or any other medium to make them sparkle! So Christmasy! :) I bet my sentiment is so fitting for the sparkles in my snowflakes.

Card #2

The greens here were a pack of A5 cards (with 3 more other colours) which I also purchased from the scrapbook shop we visited. I used it here as they carry the colours of the dp which is from Basic Grey Figgy Pudding. The panel with the dp was made by cutting 2 long rectangles Nesties then joined them together with the grosgrain and organdy ribbon to make them look like 1 big square. Sentiment is from Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps Christmas Scripture set. I stamped it with Versafine Crimson red then heat embossed with clear ep. I sponged around it after I cut it with Spellbinders Labels 4 and then embossed it with Cuttlebug Holly embossing folder. Final step was done by spritzing a bit of Glimmer Mist pearl and added pearls on each side of the main panel.

Card #3
Can you see the gorgeous dp?! It's from Graphic 45 Christmas Past collection. My first and only Graphic 45 dp! (atm) I bought this for a particular card which was requested to me - a gold themed Christmas card. I stamped the Bible verse from Sweet 'N Sassy stamps Christmas Scripture set with Versamark then heat-embossed with Gold ep. I'm already getting the hang of using my Bow Easy so this one needs to have a bow. LOL!

Okay this is all for now. Gotta do some laundry before I can sit and stamp again. :) Thanks so much for the visit and have a blessed day!

Below are the stuffs I used for the cards:

Christmas Card with Bow Easy!!

Hello fellow bloggers and stampers! Happy Thursday to all of you! I know I still have a lot of photographed cards to post but they kept on piling up as I make new ones. LOL! So,I decided tonight to post the latest card that I finished --- just an hour ago. ;)

This card took 2-3 days to finish! Whew! Well, I don't know but I bet you also have those days when it seems that your Mojo is on a holiday? That's exactly what happened to me these past few days. I knew what stamp to use, I already have one colour which is Going Gray but I got stucked somewhere! Until I saw stampersandee's O Hear the Angel Voices Card over SCS. I was inspired by the grayish sky and the masked moon so I somehow CASE'd her colouring a bit.

This is also the first time I used my Bow Easy on a card! Yay! Thanks to Sharon Johnson for the wonderful email she sent me on how to do the bow the way she does it....beautifully!! Especially with her Autumn Blessings card -- so fab!! I PM'ed her and left a message on her blog but I never knew she would reply to my inquiry straight away. Thanks Sharon - I really appreciate it!

Here's my card:

The colours are not your usual Christmas card colours but I'm starting to like the non-traditional ones. Sometimes we have to go out of our comfort zone and try new things! :)

Thanks so much for looking and please leave a comment when you get the chance so I'll know that you stopped by.

God bless everyone! Hugs to all.

Jhet

Back on Track!

Happy Monday everyone! It's been awhile since I last uploaded a card here and now it's time for me to share those with you. But before I do so, let me just share with you what happened yesterday in our church. We had our Pastor Appreciation celebration and it's the first time that we did this in our church. I initiated this one upon researching that October is Ministry Appreciation Month. I actually learned about this last year but was a bit late to celebrate it so we did it this year. I was sooo happy because it's a success as we were able to surprise our Pastor. Everyone shared and thanked him for all he's done in the church and all eyes were full of tears! It was so touching and so memorable. I was asked to make a card for him and have all the members sign up but I forgot to take a photo of the card before I gave it to our Pastor. Argh!! I just used a full A4 Night of Navy card and folded it into half and printed the 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13 verse which says: "And now, friends, we ask you to honor those leaders who work so hard for you, who have been given the responsibility of urging and guiding you along in your obedience. Overwhelm them with appreciation and love" (The Message).

On with my cards, here are a couple of what I've done lately:

This is for my friend who requested a Tilda card with a blue theme.

This one's requested to me by a friend to a friend. And she wanted the colours orange and blue.

Below are some Christmas cards that were ordered to me by friends. I still have heaps to make!

This is all for now. I know I mentioned about a 'candy" on my previous post but I'm afraid it will be a bit late. Sorry! Just have to gather all the supplies first before formally posting it to you. But I will definitely have one..soon!

Thanks for the visit and have a blessed day!

Jhet
